Could you imagine being defenseless without anyone to help you? Would you be afraid? Many animals are defenseless, and when the abuser is their owner, they don’t have anyone to defend them. Rescue Ink is an animal rescue group that has been called heroes by many. They rescue animals from abusive homes. Because Rescue Ink fights for animal rights and against neglect, improves the lives of rescued animals, and uses mostly peaceful methods, they deserve to be recognized as heroes.
Rescue Ink is a motorcycle gang that fights for animal rights and against neglect. They have a hotline for people to report cases of neglect and abuse (www.rescueink.org). On average, they get 250 phone calls each day (www.nytimes.com). They take reports very seriously, and begin to investigate the report. Once they know the report is real, they’ll take action. One way they attempt to improve the lives of animals is going around to schools to teach children to love all animals, even if they don’t consider them “cute”(www.rescueink.org). Also, whenever they rescue an animal, they take them to no-kill shelters and rehab if they need it. They also manage their own shelter in California (en.m.wikipedia.org). Whenever an animal is adopted, they make sure the animals new home is safe and good for them. Improving the lives of any animal they can help is their goal.
Their tactics can vary from peaceful to more forceful depending on whom they’re working with. First, they will try to work with the abuser and get help for them along with the animal (www.rescueink.org). But if they’re not cooperating very well, they’ll become a bit more aggressive. As a last resort, they use “in your face” tactics and will forcefully remove the animal from the home (en.m.wikipedia.org). They always try to get an abused/neglected animal out of a home in any way they can, and sometimes have to be more forceful with specific
