Team Discussion on App for Apple iPhone
Response
Working for Apple the type of research one would want to see done would be a reporting study. This type of study will display data that provides statistics comparing the application to other applications that users are already using and what features of the application users are wanting. This report is the first step in determining if the application is worth moving forward with. Once the application shows to be a valuable asset for users the next step is to focus on what the users want in an applications. I would expect the proposal to demonstrate on how user-friendly the application is, and who is the target audience this application is intended for. Many users want an application easy to use that a child can figure it out in one step. Another key factor users look for is the cost of the application. Keeping the cost down at a low price that is appealing to the user but profitable to the company will make this application successful for both parties.
Derek's Response to Nancy
I think the reporting study would be a great way to determine whether or not to move forward with the acceptance of the App into the Apple Store. This is because the reporting study would give background information on the App study, including concrete details of the App and how it differs from other Apps in the same category. It would also give the necessary data to determine what group the App would best suit. This information would be obviously important because one would not want an App that is geared toward adults be in the viewing control of children without the proper warning labels.

I think that it would have been a great way to find out if the customers would want to buy an app or not. When people are getting ready to get an app they definitely want something that is useful and they will not be disappointed with. When doing research you will be able to see if the

Management guidelines must be developed to create a benchmark of expectations. “Without measuring the effectiveness of strategy on a timely basis, makes it not only difficult to determine alignment, management is always working with lagging information” (The Executive Corner, 2004). Each step of the final solution will be measured to meet the businesses needs. The human resources department will define three main competencies of each department within sixty days. In order to ensure effectiveness, the competencies will have to be approved and agreed on by the CEO and senior management. Over 60% of adults have a smart phone that uses applications to make life easier. Our restaurant could invest a small amount of money to get ourselves into the mobile app world. This would allow customers to see our menu, order from it and pay with a credit card, before they even step foot in the restaurant. The application could make them aware of future events that are coming up and to even buy tickets to it, if tickets are available. The costs to develop such an application could be very low to high depending on the functions that we would want to include with it.…

Though there are 8 different training types that have been associated with I/O psychology, not all will have the same efficacy in employee development. Some of the associated training types may have ethical or legal deficiencies that do not make them as effective in employee training as the others. For example, the use of audiovisual instruction may imply that there is legal or confidentiality issues involved with the use of these digital video instruments, according to Sampson (1983). Additionally, if the companies hiring or recruitment process is done online, then it is also possible for breach of confidential and private information to be misused if the necessary digital encryption pathways are not placed by the organization. This could be cause for legal action on the part of the affected recruits and prospective employees. On ethical level, the use of audiovisual or online instruction many thwart the ability of a prospective employee the ability to engage in their job training at full capacity as one would if there were an actual live person teaching the individual. The use of audiovisual instruction may allow for the use of shortcuts by a prospective tester. Additionally, if the trainee or prospective employee is not technologically adept to these tools, they may not succeed at their training and not get the job. A more suitable training that will overcome the deficiencies of the audiovisual and structuring would be the use of conferences. Conferences allow the trainee to become involved in lecture and study at a high level. The use of conferences allows individuals to associate and work with individuals on the same core educational techniques and receive immediate instruction if necessary. Though there are many different types of training methods and tactics, the more important thing to remember is that the according to Spector (2008), certain discrimination laws have been implemented to eliminate workplace…
