Republican Party
Also known as the GOP or Grand Old Party, the Republican Party is one of the two major political parties in the U.S today. This party promotes conservation or encourages traditional ideas. The three reasons why the Republican Party is to choose are homeland security, Social Security, and war and peace. Eighteen out of forty presidents were Republicans. Abraham Lincoln was the first Republican president and he accomplished a significant amount of goals such as abolishing slavery which shaped our society to how it is today.

The platform of homeland security for the Republicans attacks the major complaint at airports that have been coming up recently. Have you ever been to the airport after the pat downs were established? If you have, then you know how uncomfortable it is. If not, the experience is embarrassing, awkward, and an invasion of privacy. Therefore the Republican Party wants to privatize TSA (Transportation Security Administration) to end frisking. There are TSA workers who abuse the action of pat downs and it causes regular people to feel unsure if it was part of the mandatory pat down or harassment. In specification, the wrong actions some TSA workers do include not allowing the option of the body scanner or touching certain areas multiple times. Some videos have surfaced on this topic across the internet. These videos include an upset video from a former Miss USA, a TSA agent patting down a 6 year old, and a TSA agent patting down a 3 year old. The ACLU, American Civil Liberties Union, are working to end this as well. The main point is that frisking needs to be ended in order to preserve the privacy we, Americans, should have. The Republican Party recognizes that and if in office, they will privatize the TSA as said before.
