What content on the website http://www.federalreserve.gov/ do you already know about and what stand out to you? Did you know anything about the Fed before you read the content on this site about them? In this report I will tell you what stood out to me and a little about the content that I have discovered on this site. On the website http://www.federalreserve.gov/ there is lots of content in this site that anyone could write about and it is hard to just pin point one specific subject. For that reason exactly I have decided to write a little about everything that I know but without giving you all the information. On this site it tells you a little about the Fed, News and Events, and Monetary Policies. The tab about the Fed tells you about the board members, while News and Events tell you about different events/news that is going on in the Federal Reserve. The Monetary Policies features the Federal Open Market Committee, Credit and Liquidity Programs and the Balance Sheet, along with the 2013 committee members. The term "monetary policy" refers to the actions undertaken by a central bank, such as the Federal Reserve, to influence the availability and cost of money and credit to help promote national economic goals. The Federal Reserve Act of 1913 gave the Federal Reserve responsibility for setting monetary policy. The Credit and Liquidity and the Balance Sheet purpose is to serve as a resource to address the financial crisis that emerged during the summer of 2007.
