INTRODUCTION
A leader plays an important role in the working process of every event or project. We can esily find a leader in every position, from the president of a country, a manager, a ship captain to a class monitor. People see a leader as the representative of a group, who is in charge of all activities and guides his followers to achieve goals. Every decision made by a leader has a great impact on the performance of the whole group.

In this report, we will analyze the leadership style and characteristics of the former Microsoft’s CEO – Bill Gates. We decide to choose Mr. Gates because he is one of the most influencing CEO not only in the United State but also throughout the world, who has a genius mind in technology field, good work ethic and positive attitude. He is a talented manager and an outstanding leader at the same time. Under his leadership, Microsoft has become the world-leading company in the software industry for over three decades. His work

    In Mr. Gates early life, he was born as William Henry “Bill” Gates III on October 28, 1955. Mr. Gates was born in a wealthy family, his father was a lawyer and his mother served on the board of directors for First Interstate Banc System and the United Way, he also has two sisters. In the mid 1990’s when the use of the internet spread throughout the globe, Gates focused Microsoft on the development of consumer and enterprise software solution for the internet. In January 2000, Gates had stepped down as Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft though he retained his position as chairman. Mr. Gates impacted Society in a positive way, because almost every computer has Microsoft as their computer system. Many companies’ around the world rely on Microsoft programs.
