They spend time meeting with the residents and their families to develop a care plan that sometimes consists of a discharge plan as well. This helps provide relief to residents and their families that they will be comfortable and effectively cared for. Colonial Care Center is a local Long beach Nursing Home Located on the corner of Cherry and 5th street. This facility is around the corner from my house, so I was able to visit the home multiple times to get a better understanding of how the residents are living. If I had to rate the residents daily life from my three visits, I would give this home a 6 out of 10. Some of the residents seem to enjoy their interactions with the staff, while others looked miserable. The attire of the patients was all over the board. Some were dressed in pajamas and others were dressed in pants and shorts as if they were ready to go on a nice walk. The staff appeared to have a good relationship with the residents that were willing to interact with them. They knew…
