The group that I decided to research and learn more about would be the Jehovah Witnesses. The reason I decided to discuss this group is because their religious believes are so different from a lot of the other religious groups. This religious group use one bible which is the “The New World Translation” and there are things that they do not believe in such as War and Politics or even participating in voting. Jehovah Witnesses also, do not believe in celebrating holidays even birthdays. They are considered as “pagan holidays”. It was stated that the Jehovah Witnesses believe that all holidays come from false religions. Another one of their religious believes is that they do not believe in blood transfusions
Many believe that the Jehovah Witnesses are a cult and they visit many homes knocking on door to door to get people to join. It has also, been noted that the Witnesses are a religious group that do not know anything when it come preaching about the beliefs of God. Others believe that they only like to collect money. The witnesses consider anyone that is not a member to be a “worldly person” and part of a satanic system. They have a practice that include disfellowship and disassociating themselves with the non-believers of their beliefs even if it is their own family. The Hispanics are currently the nation’s largest ethnic group in the United States when reviewed in 2012 and is continuously growing. The Hispanics contribute to 17% of the United States population. This group are faced with challenges daily from dealing with immigrations law to dealing with language barriers and being uneducated. With Spanish being their main language many of the Hispanics are on the bottom ranks of United States economic ladder in the low paying jobs. These low paying jobs are normally given to the Hispanics that come to the United States with little to no education. The ethnic group have been discriminated upon due to their lack of communication and nationalities inside of the employment industry. A lot of companies would take advantage of the Hispanics ability to communicate or even being legal and would hire them for minimum wage or even lower and they would except these offers due to this was the only jobs being offered to them. Although, the Hispanics enter the United States as immigrants they have contributed to the Revenue from their Hispanic-owned businesses. Hispanics have become a population fundamental to America economically, culturally and politically. The Hispanics and the African American do not normally seem to be able to get along with each other.
