Religion In American Culture

Religion is the beliefs, feelings, and practices that define the relations between human beings that obey a particular set of beliefs and practices. Religion is a way to help people to understand the diverse cultures of the world in which we live, the diverse peoples and cultures which are now a part of American society. Questions of human existence are addressed by religion: the meaning and purpose of life; the presence of death, sorrow and anxiety; the existence of God; questions of morality and justice; the possibilities to exist above and apart from the material world and peace Religious practices define what to expect from people, based on beliefs they practice religious values that represent core principles. These core principles will guide daily decision making and raising a family. Religious practices also help make judgments about right or wrong and bad or good. Commonly practiced religions have similar values, but different values differ over how they are prioritized over others. Traditional basic tasks have been described as work, play and love, and that many of our activities that fall under these categories will define our values.
