She was an actress and humanitarian. Born in Brussels, Belgium. Over her career she was one of Hollywood's most popular box office attractions, and was nominated for best actress four more times. After 1988, Hepburn served as special ambassador to the United Nations Children's Fund. She received a posthumous Academy Award for her humanitarian efforts.
