George and Lennie have a great friendship because they each care for each other and watch out for each other like George told Lennie if he gets in trouble to come to a certain spot and he will meet him there "if you jus' happen to get in trouble like you always done before, i want you to come right here an' hide in the brush." So what's that is saying is that he has his back even if he gets in trouble and Lennie said "I got you to look after me, and you got me to look after you," They also talk about there future together like having a little house together and other stuff "we're gonna get the jack together and we're gonna have a little house and a couple of acres an' a cow and some pigs".
