DEVELOPMENT OF A COMPUTERIZED ENROLLMENT SYSTEM IN A RURAL-BASED HIGHER EDUCATION SYSTEM
ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to design a computerized enrolment system for a rural- based higher education institution and to find out its acceptability in terms of construction design and functionality. The computerized enrolment system was developed using the software Visual Basic, an Object-Oriented Programming visualization tool. The result of the study revealed that the Enrolment System is “Very Acceptable” as evaluated by the selected faculty members and staff of the school. In the light of the present findings and conclusions, the following recommendations are advanced, namely, that this enrolment system should be introduced to the school; that it should be adopted by the school to help the staff find records of students more easily and faster and the system should be utilized as a model for future research, especially for technology or computer-related research studies.

Hrothgar, the king of Danes, had the characteristics of a leader as strength, bravery and leadership at the beginning of the epic until the monster Grendel attacked . Grendel 's appearance eliminated the stability of the Danes. Instead of standing up fighting Grendel, Hrothgar cowardly retreated and allowed the monster to terrorize his kingdom for many years and countless innocent trusted warriors had been killed by the Gendel. As a result, people lost their sense of trust and security for the kingdom until Beowulf arrived to aid Hrothgar fight for the battle and eventually won the victory. However, the main reason he traveled across the sea to help Hrothgar was because Hrothgar had saved Beowulf’s father life earlier. He was a heavy drinker and was prone to bragging. He touted himself as the strongest man on earth and as the greatest warrior. Beowulf accepted the gold for killing the monster that threatened Hrothgar’s kingdom. From this point, I viewed Beowulf was kind of mercenary and not totally as altruistic in his motivation. In my opinion as a reader, Beowulf became less heroic with each battle both in his method and motivation. In the final battle with dragon, he tended to act for his own glory instead of protecting people. His heroic figure had less value and became somehow ambitious at the end of epic. Beowulf was deservedly celebrated as a great hero and his last courageous battle was somehow rash. He unnecessarily left his own people without a king and exposed them to danger from other tribes. Therefore, I think Beowulf was less heroic than when he was a youngster because his glory , ambition and his motivation displayed at the end of…

Egay’s Store is a sole proprietorship business, also known as sole trader. It is a type of business entity that is owned and run by one individual and in which there is no legal distinction between the owner and the business. The owner receives all profits (subjects to taxation specific to the business) and has unlimited responsibility for all losses and debts. Every asset of the business is owned by the proprietor and all debts of the business are the proprietor’s. It is a “sole” proprietorship in contrast with partnerships. A sole proprietor may use a trade name or business name other than his or her legal name. Inventory is often the largest priced asset of a business after the fixed asset. Keeping the inventory also means keeping a tab on the realizable value, market value of all the stocks, stock in production and finished stock. This paper explores the challenges of manual inventory management system for supermarkets and infers solutions to the current challenges by designing a computerized inventory management system to order and update the stocks. The main method used for this research work is interview. Data were collected from 5 heterogeneous supermarkets and used as a tool for obtaining facts. When the goods were supplied the update of the stocks were being taken from time to time. The finding shows the challenges facing the manual system of inventory management system; the manual system requires everyday counting of items in the inventory, human errors are very prevalent during counting and recording and in case of disaster like fire or flood or poor communication, all the manual inventory records will be damaged and irretrievable. Based on the findings this paper highlights the possible solutions to the above problems; a computerized inventory management system to order and update the stocks was designed and goods were supplied to implement the possible solutions. An Inventory System provides a…
