Reflective Essay On Fahrenheit 451
An important writing event in my life occurred when I was a sophomore. It was English 2, and we had just read the book, “Fahrenheit 451”. We were assigned to write a creative writing essay creating a different ending to the book from another character’s perspective. This essay was important to me because when I got done, I was really proud of myself. I actually had a lot of fun writing that essay, and I thought it had turned out really well. It was that paper that made me realize that I actually enjoyed creative writing. Another important memory with writing was last year during English 3. I like being able to come up with something in my mind and be able to write it down. I also like research papers, especially when it is a topic that interests me. The most challenging papers for me are opinion papers. I don’t like writing them. I like writing about facts and doing research, but I don’t really like writing down my opinion.
I expect that I’ll be writing a lot of research and opinion papers when I go to college. In my career path I also expect to be writing research and opinion papers. I don’t expect to be writing a ton of papers once I get settled into the job that I want, but I know that I will have to write some. I do not feel 100% prepared for those tasks right now because I know that I still need to learn a lot before I am able to write an amazing paper.
I feel that the esteem needs within Maslow’s needs are the most important for developing my own communication skills. I feel this way because in order to communicate well, I need to be confident in myself. If I have feelings of accomplishment and feelings of prestige, I will be confident. In order to communicate effectively, you need to be able to state what you are thinking and your opinion. You need to know the proper way to talk to certain people and how to hold a conversation. Being able to communicate well will definitely be important to be successful in life. That is why I really want to take this class and why I
