THE STUDENT LIFE FROM A FOREIGN’S POINT OF VIEW

It is well known that the student life can be quite enjoyable until the workload becomes high and deadlines occur. Well, just imagine how it could be if you were from another country and, obviously,
English is not your first language. I am an Italian that moved to London approximately eighteen months ago and I was terrified while applying to universities.
Getting an undergraduate degree is one of the milestones that almost everybody goes across in their lives. When a person gets older there will always be that bittersweet memory of the studying years.
Even though I am still not sure of what my future occupation will be, I did not want to miss the university experience in my life. This is the reason why, at the age of 19, after graduating from high school in Italy, I have applied for the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. Suddenly, after the first term
I have decided to quit my studies and move to England. However, I am aware that a higher education degree is necessary to build a career in the future. “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” – Nelson Mandela (FM, 2014). This is where the
