Reflection On Pj's Medication Dispensment
I hope all is well. In regards to PJ's medication dispensment. I have providing him with his medication at 6 am during the week (per his request and he says he gets up at that time to prepare for the day). This time as well works for me because I begin my morning rounds of the tower around at 6am.

This weekend I provided his medicaiton at 7 am because he told me he would like to sleep in on the weekends so an our later helps.

I think PJ's getting up at 6 am during the week maybe affecting his sleeping pattern. Because of this in my most recent encounter with him he came to realization on his own and told me he will be getting up at 6:45 am instead of 6 am and that I could just drop off his medication on his night stand when I am completing

2-Anotonio could have a to-do-list that might help. If I had to design the list it might look like this: a) Receive report on assigned patients. b) Decide what order the patients will be seen. c) Delegate tasks to others. d) Place unique tasks on the list that need done for that day. For Antonio, that means schedule when to meet with team members so that they can be evaluated. Also as the team leader, Antonio needs to review admission and discharges for acuity and document reasons for exceeded length of stay. This should be done daily so that at the end of the week he can tally up the results and be able to prepare his monthly report.…

As my learning needs and areas of development have been identified within my portfolio, the following case study will focus on the assessment and prescribing process for a 64 year old lady with a history of venous leg ulcers. The identified patient, who will be known as Jane to maintain confidentiality (NMC, 2008) was chosen due to the high number of patients who have venous leg ulcers that are nursed by community teams. Approximately 1-2% of adults will have a leg ulcer at some point in their lives, this figure increases with age to around 3.6% of people over 65 years being affected (Christian, 2013). Venous leg ulcers are costly to treat, and respond best to early diagnosis and treatment (McKenzie, 2010). Patients often find leg ulcers painful, embarrassing and they have a negative impact on their own body image (Parker, 2012).…

HIPPA Privacy Law and Patients’ Bill of Rights are supposed to protect an individual privacy when it comes to their medical information. These laws were created and put into place to establish patient confidentiality and not have patients’ information disclosed without prior consent. In 1998, Dawn Castellano, a pharmacy technician who worked for Arbor Drugs in Mount Clemens, Michigan, violated a patient’s confidentiality by disclosing information to her son regarding one of her customers. The pharmacy technician was filling a prescription for AIDS medication and discovers the customer was a parent of her son classmates. The technician informed her child of the customer condition and later her son taunted his classmates about their father disease. The customer children had no prior knowledge of the disease.…
