Reflection on IT job prospects
1. Job reflection

Hi! My name is Rajasekar Chellappa and I live in Tauranga which is the capital of Kiwi fruit in New Zealand. Actually I come from another city Banagalore, where I lived for 45 years, but two years ago, i decided to migrate to New Zealand, i moved to Tauranga . I have a daughter – Rani. She is 25 and she had been to Sweden two years ago and now she studies medicine at the Madras Medical College.
My wife used to teach at the University and now, she works as a medical professional .
I’m interested in computer science, music, and history literature. Computers first appered in my life when I was 25. Then I had got my first computer and I remember myself thinking, that it was the best thing in the world. I was playing it whenever I could. Then I had got my first PC. At first, I was just playing computer games, but some time later, I noticed that I could do a lot more things with the computer, for example programming. Now, I can already programue in Pascal, C++ and HTML. I have my own site on the internet and I have done many programes.
In fact it was early 1980 when i got my first oppurtune moment to appear in preliminary test to qualify for enterence in Indian Institute of Engineering New Delhi, i still wonder how i managed to get it through and still amazing was that i cleared it in 1984.Four years of study appeared to me as if i had just joined the institute recently. The event of graduation ceremonie follwed series of intresting happening ,little did i realise that i am destined to join a team of brillent young people working on Radio detection and ranging technology .
In India era of 80’s was still developing PNP junction based electronic products, leaving behind anode diode based tubes used in radio. Revisiting those moments now fills me with great joy and kind of happiness that i find hard to express in words, it was unique for that age and happennings.little did i knew then that this journey is going to take me across continent far away

Majoring in psychology and English in undergrad let me pursue my life long love for books and literature all while continuing to work as an LPN. I grew a bigger appreciation for nursing when my grandmother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2009. Although my grandmother died nine months after her diagnosis, but the oncology nurses were the backbones of my family at the time. It was the first time someone very close to me was terminally ill, and we all felt helpless. The nurses were there to provide the proper end of life care for my grandmother and for us as a family. Caring for my grandmother had an immense influence on my career decisions. A year later, I began working as clinical care coordinator in radiation oncology and I was able to advocate, comfort, support, and be empathetic towards patients going through difficult cancer treatments. Concurrently, I discovered that I had a passion for community health and a desire to work towards promoting health equity. I earned a masters degree in public health. During my public health career I worked…

Computer science is truly interesting to me because it makes me feel really smart when I am able to code something. Creating apps and games are a great challenge but once it is done it feels really satisfactory knowing that I did it myself. Seeing the final product of an app or game is really satisfying but the whole process takes time and a lot of problem solving. Some steps take more time because they have more steps and require more thinking.…

I am taking History 1302 to gain a thorough understanding of this nation's past, as history has always been one of my interests. My educational goals are to attend a four-year university after I graduate from high school, and there I hope to major in computer engineering. As I am still a high school junior (this is one of my dual credit classes), I do not have the most extensive educational background, but I have taken multiple honors courses in my years of study and have completed seven dual credit classes at NCTC to date. After I complete my education, I intend to work in the field of computer engineering due to my love for and fascination with modern technology. In my free time, I like to practice music by playing the alto saxophone as well…

The Career Ladder project is to help students get an idea of where they want to go in life. Research for this report included information from academic journals, management books, and online sources. Everything I found indicates that to reach the top of a successful career you need to dedicate a numerous amount of time. While it is clear that each rung of your career ladder has different skill and education requirements, you should not let that stop you from seeing the big picture. The more we put into anything the more you can get out of it. From this report you can see that three to five years may not get you to the top. Only receiving your bachelors may not be enough. No matter what it takes you have to keep advancing and getting better to reach your dream. I recommend that anyone reading this that has a dream of reaching a higher level position continue to work for it and not let having to spend more time gaining knowledge stop you.…
