Planet Of Life: Apes to Man narrated by Stacy Steach, tells us about the origin
Of Human Evolution. According to the documentary film, 100, 000, 000 years Ago, the world
was first inhabited by the dinosaurs. But, because of the asteroid 6 miles wide That struck the
earth; it brought the end of the reign of the Dinosaurs. After being strucked by
The Asteroid, the earth became life less. But, insects and plants and some small Mammals would
Survive and populate the landscape. And, one of these is the Pregatoria, One of earth’s First
Primate. It was an arboreal animal. The Earth regained its life source and bass tropical rainforest
For hundreds of generation. This Large Habitat would nurture new families of primates.
One of the oldest known signs of our origin and arrival are hominid imprints dating back 3
Million and a Half years ago. Human evolved from primates perhaps the apes that once lived in
Southern Africa. This sumptuous forest may have helped to shape human kinds direct ancestors.
In Lake Victoria in Kenya, Rusinga Island, The team led by Mary Leakey discovered the partial
Skeleton Up a distant relative dating 60 Million Years Ago. Over decades Rusinga became
Remarkable evidence of Human origins. There, found a Proconsul, these are earliest known ape.
No other fossil ancestor has been reconstructed in such details. With their long fingers they
Could grasp the branches firmly. They’ve been said to be related to humans, despite years of
Analysis and ongoing scientific inquiry, it is not yet found possible to name all the limbs to
Human Family Tree.

Jared Diamond discusses how the ancestors of humans began to develop many years ago. Human ancestors began walking straight up around 4 million years ago. Archaeologists called this period of new technology and inventions the Great Leap Forward. After the Great Leap Forward, the human race started to expand its territory. Many humans stayed in Africa and Eurasia for many years.…

For a long period which could have lasted several years, dust and other debris from the impact formed a layer on the surface of the Earth.(13) This may have caused a threat to the survival of terrestrial animals.(13) Sunlight was unable to reach the surface of the Earth and this would have contributed to the cooling effect.(13) This layer on the Earth would have been created when the intense force of the asteroid hit Earth in the second stage which caused small pieces of earth and dust to scatter.(13) The intense wind following the event would have contributed to the spread of the debris.(7) After the asteroid, the sky would have darkened and would not have returned to its normal state for a number of months or even years.(7) The darkening of the sky must have been caused by the release of gases and distribution of dust.(7) The gases released included 10,000 billion tonnes of carbon dioxide, 100 billion tonnes of carbon monoxide and 100 billion tonnes of methane.(7) This release would have also temporarily destroyed the ozone layer.(7) The darkening of the sky made photosynthesis difficult and threatened the food chain as many plants were unable to grow.(7) Photosynthesis relies heavily on the sunlight and the darkness of the sky restricted the amount filtering through to the…

There were many different theories that arose in regards to how dinosaurs became extinct. Some of the theories are floods, ice ages, poisoned food supply, etc. However, what most likely happened was a meteor crashing into the planet. The meteor caused an immediate impact on the life that it hit directly, causing them to vanish. The after effects were a drastic climate change and the fact that the meteor most likely caused a sonic boom that also ended the lives of many other animals. After the meteor hit, it probably caused volcanoes and made much of the land uninhabitable due to wild fires. Additionally, after this period of heat there was chance of a period of cold and dark. Together, this all combined was the reasoning behind why the dinosaurs, and most life went extinct, despite being in their prime and the most diverse they had ever…

It is still being debated to on exactly when did the ancestor of our species began to walk on two legs. One hypothesis relies on a 6-7 million year old skull of Sahelanthropus tchadensis. The skull was discovered in the Djurab Desert in Chad. Since only the skull was discovered, it is still unclear on how Sahelanthropus tchadensis fits in our evolutionary…

There are two theories about the origin of modern humans; the out of Africa view argues that genes in the fully modern human all came out of Africa and there was no interbreeding involved and the alternative model; a multi-regional view that argues how all human population flowed between different regions and mixed together which contributed to the development of the modern human. What makes these theories the most highly debateable in paleoanthropology is that 30,000 years ago, the taxonomic diversity previously seen amongst homo sapiens, homo erectus and homo Neanderthals had vanished and humans everywhere had evolved into the anatomically and behaviourally modern form; there is much deliberation as to how this occurred which rose this differing schools of thought; one that emphasises multiregional continuity and the other that suggests a single origin for modern humans. In order to understand this controversy, the archaeological, anatomical and genetic evidence needs to be evaluated.…

A group of scientists lead by Biren Patel have recently found a partial mandible of an ancient primate related to lemurs. Scientists have named the new species Ramadapis sahnii and claim that it existed 11 to 14 million years ago, and is a member of the early primate family Sivaladapidae. Analysis of the jawbone shows that the species consumed leaves and was approximately the same size as a house cat, or to a modern day lemur. This discovery is important to the scientific community as with this discovery more information surrounding the evolutionary history of primates can be gathered and analysed. This new species will also help expand the phylogenetic tree for primates, making it significant to any scientist researching primate evolution.…

For several centuries, it has been researcher’s goal in science to find the human race, ancient ancestry. From the time of Charles Darwin’s, Theory of Evolution, anthropologists, paleontologist and other researchers from various fields have been discovering and identifying human origins. The quest to find human’s oldest ancestor was the missing link in the human evolution tree. The “missing link” was eventually discovered in Hardar, Ethiopia by Dr. Donald Johanson, an American paleoanthropologist. According to Johanson, Lucy (Australopithecus afarensis) represented the missing link between apes and humans. She was our oldest human ancestor, the ape who walked upright. According to Dr. Donald Johanson, Lucy was one of the greatest paleoanthropological finds of the 20th century, but to others, Johanson’s discovery and methodology of identifying Lucy had many flaws and contradictions to his theory.…

We are originally children of Africa with no Neanderthals or island-dwelling "hobbits" in our family tree. The first humans migrated out of Africa into Asia probably between 2 million and 1.8 million years ago. Then they entered Europe some time later, between 1.5 million and 1 million years. The modern humans’ species populated many parts of the world much later. For example, the first people came to Australia probably in the past 60,000 years and to the Americas sometime in the past 30,000 years. The beginning of agriculture and the rise of the first civilizations happened in the past 12,000 years.…

According to Spencer, approximately 10,000 humans were living 50,000 years ago before they began their journey. Amazing how today there are 6 billion people that descended from those 10,000. These humans originated in Africa, specifically from the Buschman tribe. Research shows that this tribe is the only one with a “click” sound language and according to our ancestors they were great hunters and the best trackers. Using the lisong markers to track the past through DNA is how they discovered that the Buschman carried the oldest genes, giving evidence it all began in Africa.…
