In order to establish and instigate ground rules in the first instance, basic rules should be agreed upon from the very start. For example; Mobile phones on silent, no talking while others are speaking and no eating during the lesson. Other rules can be applied as the course progresses. The establishment’s policies and procedures should be observed as a group, as this ensures everybody is aware of them. Observing behaviour, listening to what the students have to say and talking to them in an open forum leads the way to further establishing an agreeable environment in which to learn. Rules can be updated in this way and enable change to be considered depending on how the class develops. In order to remind learners of these mutually agreed guidelines, it is a good idea to display them in the room to refer students to if and when they are breached. Creating a ‘safe’ environment is integral to learning. Disruption, noise, lack of direction, bullying and aggressive styles are not conducive, so it is important in my role to develop good practise in dealing with challenging behaviour and promoting a positive, respectful atmosphere. Once more is known about the students, writing learning objectives for the session and stating what the students will be able to do at the end of the lesson could go…

Reflection allows an individual to identify the reasons or purpose of understanding the outcome of a particular situation in depth in term of emotions on thought and feeling on the topic area. In addition, Reflection is something that we do implicitly as part of being human, underpinning our identities through a process of negotiation between our sense of self and our experiences of others (Demetriou, 2000, p.210). Therefore, I have implemented this quote in my professional and personal goals I wanted and have achieved thought-out the process of the module. Before transferring to Georgian Court University, I had already attended two other colleges. I lived in a dorm my freshmen year at Ramapo and decided that was not for me. After leaving Ramapo, I decided to take a few semesters at Brookdale Community College in order to fulfill some requirements while deciding where exactly was the right place for myself to continue with my education. After searching through many brochures and getting first hand details about schools from people I am acquainted with, I was overcome with joy when I found Georgian Court. Since I am double majoring in both English and Education, it is hard to find schools that offer the two as a pair as well as offer the special endorsement for teaching students with disabilities. Georgian Court is also one of the top teaching schools, with a very high rate of job placement after graduation, which was another thing that captivated me. The economy is very unpredictable at this point in time and it is only plausible to choose the very best school to go to that is well known for the extraordinary practices in the field of study you want to pursue. Here at Georgian Court I have found everything I have been looking for.…

Every individual has the ability to react differently to certain types of attitudes/personalities. In fact, Peter J.D. Carnivale, Dean G. Pruitt and Patricia I. Carrington (1982) found that there tends to be more helping behavior between people who like one another than between people who dislike one another. We have predicted that participants who do not encounter a friendly behavior, but a moderate or unfriendly behavior, would credit absolutely no aid to the researcher during the experiment. When an individual fails to allude warmth and kindness onto you, you…
