I had fun in the convention but there were also problems that I encountered during the event. First is the place where we seated, I could barely see the emcees of the event, I do not want to rant about it but I just wish that there was a projector an screen in front of our side that shows what is happening in front, it was kind of hard for me to catch up on what’s really happening that time. And the second one is I ran out of seminar to sign up to, all of the workshops that I wanted to join is already full so I just signed up to the workshop that they added on that day to accommodate others who weren’t able to sign up for the workshop that they like.

Even though I had a problem in the workshop signing part, I am still happy that they gave us a fun and interesting workshop. I attended an ‘’Anger Management” workshop on the second day of the event held in Far Eastern University. Dr. Ronnie Motilla was the speaker of the workshop I attended, and I admire him for the ability to handle a larger group on a very short span of preparation time.

That workshop accommodated almost three hundred students, but Dr. Motilla was still able to make it interesting for all of us that almost everyone in the room participated especially in sharing their stories and their ways in coping with anger. He shared his stories and disappointments in life and gave us steps and different ways to handle the strong feelings in a better manner. But my favourite part of the workshop is the part where he gave us quotes. I like quotes not because I wanted a new status on facebook or in twitter, I like quotes because it inspires me more in life, it makes me feel that I’m not the only one who feels the same, it makes me feel that I am no different from anyone else.

There were two quotes from Dr. Ronnie that moved me. The first one would be, “Don’t settle for good when you can become the best. You can be good nurse but you might also be the best singer” – if not all , then

The topic my group talked about was the temporary immigration ban that President Trump ordered. I thought this was a good topic to talk about because being from south Florida there is a lot of hispanics and that may be a big problem for some of them. I thought it was very good for me to listen to my partners opposing views on it and compare our thoughts on deporting immigrants. I thought the mirroring part of the workshop was very well because you get to know if you're partners actually listened to your opinion and my partners listened very well to my opinions.…

There are many things I am thankful for, one of them is the opportunity to chase my dreams and use my education, experiences, and professional practice to make a difference in the lives of others. This class marks the beginning of my path to a hopefully long and influential career in the field of social work. This course has presented opportunities and challenges to raise a level of awareness of self that I did not realize I possessed. I have and will continue to use this discernment to relate and understand others. Prior to this semester, I did not fully grasp how each of these exercises, experiences, and interactions would correlate and influence my way of thinking and attitude in life. I have learned, grown, and am proud to know that the…

Before transferring to Georgian Court University, I had already attended two other colleges. I lived in a dorm my freshmen year at Ramapo and decided that was not for me. After leaving Ramapo, I decided to take a few semesters at Brookdale Community College in order to fulfill some requirements while deciding where exactly was the right place for myself to continue with my education. After searching through many brochures and getting first hand details about schools from people I am acquainted with, I was overcome with joy when I found Georgian Court. Since I am double majoring in both English and Education, it is hard to find schools that offer the two as a pair as well as offer the special endorsement for teaching students with disabilities. Georgian Court is also one of the top teaching schools, with a very high rate of job placement after graduation, which was another thing that captivated me. The economy is very unpredictable at this point in time and it is only plausible to choose the very best school to go to that is well known for the extraordinary practices in the field of study you want to pursue. Here at Georgian Court I have found everything I have been looking for.…

In addition to the reasons provided in the readings, it is important to remember that a life coach or anger management coach is not a medical or counseling professional and issues surrounding anger, as noted in the course, can involve medical issues. Consequently, there is a need to be aware of issues that need medical supervision. Some of the conditions noted include assessing suicide risks, escalated mental health responses, severe mental health disorders, physical conditions that can be manifested by anger or the suppression thereof, the potential for self-medication actions, the risk of self-harm, and to monitor to make sure appropriate self-care is being maintained…

I have been working at ... for about a month now, I have made great relationships with the children in my class. I noticed the one girl in particular has become quite attached to myself. Another member of staff explained to me that she has quite severe attachment issues because of her home life. She explained that I should not allow this child to be so attached to myself, as she will always rather be with adults, that I should encourage her to play with other children in her class. I found this quite difficult trying to distance myself, whenever I was working with other children this young girl would always want to join in or just have a chat with me. It was very difficult for me to have to tell her that she needed to play with the other children. I know the young girl had defiantly picked up on my different behaviour with her and this distressed me quite a bit.…
