recycling factory
Dear Mr. Smith, Thank you very much for considering the Willy Wonka Recycling Factory for all of your recycling needs. My secretary Helga has informed me that you have an unusually large amount of material that you need recycled. I have been told that you are generously offering $5,000.00 to the company that you choose. It would be an honor for the Willy Wonka Recycling Factory to do the job for you. I have drawn out a plan to deal with your vast variety of materials. As I understand it, you have aluminum soda cans, steel cans, milk jugs, and soda bottles that you wish to have recycled. Thanks to your data that you have sent concerning the densities of each of the materials, it should be no problem what so ever to recycle them for you, even in their powdery state. I will start the process by dumping the mixture onto one of my very fancy conveyor belts and running the mixture underneath my very powerful magnets to remove the steel can powder from the mixture. Next, I will focus on separating the milk jugs out by dumping the mixture into a large tank of distilled water with a density of 1g/cm^3. As you know, the powered milk jugs have a density of 0.95g/cm^3 which means that the milk jug particles will float on top of the distilled water making it very easy for my workers to skim the tops of the tank and remove the milk jug powder. After all of the milk jug particles are removed, I will then activate my advanced skimming mechanism that will transport the aluminum can and soda bottle particles onto another conveyor belt. Once on the conveyor belt it will then dump the mixture into another large tank of sugar water that has a density of 1.5g/cm^3. The soda bottle particles have a density of 1.4g/cm^3 so they will float on top of the sugar water. My workers will then remove the soda bottle power from the tank like they did with the milk jugs and activate another skimming mechanism to remove the remaining aluminum can powder from the bottom of the

In an effort to provide financial benefit to the company and to comply with both internal and external waste reduction demands the following is a proposal to revamp our current recycling policy. The idea is to incorporate approximately 316 recycling stations throughout the plant (where necessary) to collect solid waste. This waste will then be sorted and moved to an internal processing station where the materials would be sold to outside firms or disposed of properly if they hold no economic value. This project would require the skills of a new employee, a plant recycling coordinator. First and foremost we would want to hire or promote a person into this position because they would be critical in the initial planning stages, implementation…

Furthermore, Pellow reinforces the concept that governmental policies can directly damage groups of people or a certain race by pointing out the ironic conditions that take place in recycling industries. Pellow states that “solid waste is a fact of life” (1). Humans as a species tend to aggregate, making the disposal of waste a complicated issue. Disposal practices lead to divided political opinions and negative environmental impacts, such as pollution. And, although all humans contribute to producing waste, not all humans share the burden of managing this garbage. For instance, Pellow observed the social and economic conditions taking place under a recycling center located within Chicago. The foundation behind the idea of recycling is to foster the concern for environmental respect. Therefore, a recycling center should be a place where people are aware of their actions and what the resulting consequences may be. However, many environmental problems and social inequalities arose within the community of Chicago.…
