Recruitment and selection has an important role in any business to ensure that the employees outcomes moving forward to achieve the business objectives . This role is part of HR division where they support line managers in advertising the position and selecting the best candidate. The difference between Recruiting and Selection is recruitment deals with attracting a group of potential candidates to apply for a vacancy where Selection is a process of choosing the most suitable candidate from the pool identified through recruitment.

Walk in recruiting is mostly used in shops and restaurants where less requirements are needed . Another External recruiting technique is foreign requiting which is usually used in a low supply market but has too many obligation such as permits , medical and accommodation .

Social Media has been the biggest movement in recruitment process . By using social networking sites such as Facebook and LinkedIn in recruiting , it’s easily to search through these platform using specific key words to find candidates weather they are currently in the job market or not. Social Networks can be used also to advertise for any open position through the official 123Event pages or other groups and pages that shows interests in events .

Selection and Placement
The last and visible stage of resourcing cycle and before hiring is Selection ,which include also the method will be used to short-listed the candidate list to finally make the hiring decision. The selection is based on range of methods which helps narrow down the applicants list to the suitable candidate
