Effective branding is one of the important element for the Fiat and Chrysler to adopt in short and long terms. There are few recommendations for both companies to improve their brand images in world market.
The first recommendation is the companies should differentiate and position the brand effectively. Before embarking on brand building, the companies have to take time to differentiate it so that the companies able to attract attention and stand out from competitors. To differentiate the brand, the companies have to create a unique advantage in the mind of consumers not merely getting attention by brand building colours or logos or other superficial elements. Once the companies come up with a unique value proposition, the companies should use a good branding strategy to position so brand in a way that will help consumers see and appreciate the greater value of brand over competing ones in the market. For example, in short term the companies able to bring focus back to small fuel efficient cars. So that, customers able to enjoy the less usage of the fuel and it environment friendly.
Next, the companies can build and expose their brand. Building a unique and powerful personal or business brand takes time and consistency. To build the personal brand, companies have to keep reinforcing their values and skills by taking up new roles and assignments that will give you more exposure. Alternatively, they can use promotional channels, blogs, forums, and social media (LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook) to create a voice for their personal or business brand. For example the both Chrysler and Fiat can introduce cars into new market such as developed countries or create new and innovative design into markets which get more attention by the potential customers. Introduce cars into new market would be short term on the other hand create new design of cars would be categorised in long term of branding strategies.     Building successful brands is a very complex and time consuming activity, it requires dedication, investments, and a lot of skills to say the least, as examples have shown. Some key factors have been identified as critical for brands to achieve that, Jobber (2010). The quality factor, the positioning or repositioning strategy, the long term perspective of the brand, being First as pioneering the market, Well Blended Communications with its consumers and Internal Marketing as of investment in staff training.
