Parents are increasingly worrying about how violent video games could be a main reason for our children turning violent. A young child that experiences violence such as death, is more likely to turn to aggression than a child than a child that plays video games: ‘“Based on my own research … some of the information is more conclusive that it’s family issues — and I hold to that.”’ Family issues are incontrovertibly more injurious than violent video games, because the kids have no control on whether they have family issues or not, and it most likely happens every day. Other external influences, like family and teachers, can influence the mind in a good way. They can teach values such as honesty, charitableness, and most importantly, what’s right and what’s wrong. Some contestants may argue that inner darkness contributes to violence, and that a person is born evil. This argument is simply futile. Parents and friends make up an insurmountable portion of a person's character and personality. Children are supposed to learn everything they know from their parents and authority figures.
