Rayfoun 717 Project Report

Introduction

Turning into a civil engineer these days is more testing than any time in recent memory. The

designing field is profoundly focused, particularly with the nearness of many organizations and

the ascent of engineer's number. Subsequently as a structural civil engineer understudy at NDU

it is mandatory to take the cen 489 as a summer course and it is relied upon to finish a 8 week of

full time work.

My summer job incorporates the following tasks during those 8 weeks. The assessment

and learning all the engineering work that was performed in the project “Rayfoun 717”which is a

luxurious residential building and included :

and prepared for any assistance.

In this report a blueprint of the aptitudes I have educated will be given including some pictures.

Project Details

The site which I was training at is located in Rayfoun main street and so the project was called

“Rayfoun 717” and comprises of private working with an underground stopping floor, the

ground floor and three upper floors(F1,F2 AND F3) which included two duplex apartments and a

background.

The “Rayfoun 717” project was an old building which had to be subjected to many changes

including the enlarging and the strengthening of the old columns with different dimensions by

drilling and adding steel reinforcement, constructing shear walls at locations specified by the

Engineer which were designed to be against earthquake and seismic waves , changing the

location of the previous elevator and developing it’s shear walls, establishing a retaining wall at

the background of the building, demolition works of old structural elements and the walls of the

staircase and constructing additional floors above the old building.
