Ransom Of Red Chief
Ransom Of Red Chief Compare and contrast IN English class we read the book Ransom of Red Chief, and after watched the movie of it and after w had to go see what was different and the same of the movie and the book.

We had to find out what the similarities were and the differences so I will start with similarites.

All the charichters have the same names in both of the stories, he acts like an Indian and they took the boy . Some of the differences were in the book he never scalped or cut bills Hair but on the movie he did . In the book they camped in a cave and in the book they canped in the woods. In the book they only had to pay two - hundred dollars and in the movie they paid five hundred dollars.

The story was about a little boy who wanted to be an Indian and two men took him and were very nice. Little Red Chief was the little boys name he liked to pick on the man named bill.

After a while they took him home in exchange of five - hundred dollars and ended up paying the Little boys dad.

I enjoyed this book and liked the movie and the book both.they both were a lot alike and I didn't realy notice the difference untll I looked harder.

There isn't as many differences as there are similarities in the stories, but they are very noticeable, for example, in the book, Lennie is described as "big" and "dark around the eyes", but in the movie Lennie isn't fat and he is white so you can see his eyes clearly. To me, he looked pretty average except you can notice there is something wrong with him by the way he acted. There are many quotes in the book that aren't said in the movie. It's good to know that both stories aren't "exactly" the same. Then, if you read or watch one, you wouldn't have to read or watch the other. Unless you are supposed to be comparing or contrasting each, that's a different story!…

The last difference that I'm going to talk about is the themes, or main points, of the book versus the movie. The book was mainly about the hardships that people go through and about the fixing gaps between the rich and the poor. The book expressed the characters emotions and feelings, and the tone is melodramatic and a bit sad. In the movie, however, I don't even…

On the contrary, in the movie everyone arrives by a ski lift to a cold, snowy mountain. Many of the indictments are changed between the two works. In the book, General Macarthur put his wife’s new lover in the frontline of battle, but in the book General Mandrake sends 5 men to their death. Miss Emily Brent scolds a woman into suicide in the book, while in the movie Miss Burgan kills her husband. Vera Claythorne let’s a young child drown in the book, and in the movie Ann Clide said to be responsible for the death of her sister’s fiance. Since the two are very different, I will tell you 3 differences and similarities that I noticed. One difference was Mr. Shuan, an important character, wasn’t even in the movie! He had killed Ransom and that helped Davie escape. Another difference is that Ransom didn’t die in the movie, or at least not the original way. We saw him on the boat before it blew up in the movie, in the book he died in the hull. My last difference is that The Long Mile Gang didn’t exist in the book. Some evidence that proves the flick wasn’t crazy wrong were (1) Alan did wear a blue coat…

First and foremost, there are many similarities and differences between the two stories. My first example is when Ransom died in the novel. In the movie, they portray Ransom as about to be thrown over, although they never end up doing it. He then fights against Davie and Alan, and yet still never seems to die. In the book, he is killed by Mr. Shuan, the cause being that he brought him a dirty pannikin. Another example when Alexander dies. Even though the novel and movie both indicate Alexander dying, they died in very different ways. Another difference between the two is when they go visit Cluny and Alan gambles. Both contain this scene, although it goes down very differently. In this scene in the movie, it shows Alan approaching Davie when he is asleep, rather than the book where it claims Davie was sick. And lastly, one similarity is when Davie and Alan approach the village of James of Glen, and find that the Long Mile Gang is after them and the village is going to be ransacked. I feel…

This story was The story tells of a young boy kidnapped by two men for a ransom. Bill Driscoll and Sam Howard are two fugitives who have escaped to the deep south in order to find money to pay their own bonds of dollars. The town to get there is because of philoprogenitiveness - love for one's own children - that he asserts is common in semi-rural communities. The men need money to pull off another "fraudulent town-lot scheme" in western Illionis. After constructing a plan: Steal the son of the mayor, send a ransom of $2000, secretly exchange the son for the money, and be on their way, the two men find that their plan backfires. Red Chief actually enjoys his stay with his kidnappers, and thinks he's on a camping trip. Red Chief's favorite game…
