Ransom Of Red Chief
Ransom Of Red Chief Compare and contrast IN English class we read the book Ransom of Red Chief, and after watched the movie of it and after w had to go see what was different and the same of the movie and the book.

We had to find out what the similarities were and the differences so I will start with similarites.

All the charichters have the same names in both of the stories, he acts like an Indian and they took the boy . Some of the differences were in the book he never scalped or cut bills Hair but on the movie he did . In the book they camped in a cave and in the book they canped in the woods. In the book they only had to pay two - hundred dollars and in the movie they paid five hundred dollars.

The story was about a little boy who wanted to be an Indian and two men took him and were very nice. Little Red Chief was the little boys name he liked to pick on the man named bill.

After a while they took him home in exchange of five - hundred dollars and ended up paying the Little boys dad.

I enjoyed this book and liked the movie and the book both.they both were a lot alike and I didn't realy notice the difference untll I looked harder.

After reading the novel and watching the movie I noticed some differences, I'll start with Ponyboy, in the novel pony boy is slapped by his brother, but in the movie, he is pushed, I think the actors couldn't fake the slap or wanted to harm the actors, this difference wasn't very good it took away some of the drama. Another difference is that in the movie it ends shortly after Dally's death and in the novel a lot happens after that; this was a very bad change to the film, like pony boy breaking the glass was definitely a point that made the novel more enjoyable. One similarity in the book and novel is that in both he cuts his hair and dyes it blonde.…

In the end the book is better than the movie is but they are similar with some big differences. The differences are too major for me to prefer the movie over the book. I know that movies have to be shorter and move along faster than the book does but I think the movie could have been better. Both are really good and i enjoyed them but I personally think that the book is better than the…

One of the reasons I liked the book over the movie would be that when you read the book, its easy for you to feel how the characters felt. It's a lot more detailed in their emotions, rather than in the movie you only feel how you think they would. The book makes you almost feel like you are apart of it and that you know exactly what they're going through.…

When Gene and Finny go to the tree one of the times Gene slips and Finny saves him. This happens only in the movie. The book did not say anything about a rope being on the tree. In the movie when Gene shakes the limb of the tree causing Finny to fall, there was no one at the tree. In the book Leper and Brinker were standing there. The movie also started in a flashback to the trial, whereas in the book it started off as him being in his current time. The book was told in first person and the movie was narrated in third person. I felt the book brought you closer to what Gene was thinking. Another difference would be Gene going and talking to Leper. In the book Leper goes home and in the movie he goes to the woods of…
