Why did Randy Travis have such an adventurous life? Randy was the world's best musician. Travis was born May 4th, 1959 to Harold and Bobbie Traywick. Randy’s father was a musician and wanted Travis to play when he was younger, Travis quotes “ My dad wanted me to play when I was a kid, so I learned to play the guitar. I pursued a career in music because I love it so much and I enjoy what it does to those who hear it.” At only the age of 8 Randy began doing music lessons.

Randy Travis was born May 4th, 1959. His parents were Harold and Bobbie Traywick. When Randy was 8 years old he started taking music lessons. Travis’s father was also a country singer, he wrote “ A Lonely Shadow.” Randy went to Forest Hills High School, and only in the 9th grade, he dropped out due to drugs and alcohol.

1984 was a special year for young travis, country music magazine says “Randy is young & handsome”. “1985; has toured throughout the United States and appeared on television shows, including The Tonight Show, Late Night With Davidletterman, The Grand Ole Opry, and Good Morning America.” Randy went from being a cook to a country hit. During 1986 he scored two hits 1982 and on the other hand. Randy couldn't sing pop music, the press calls him simple and modest.” Without Randy Travis, the proliferation of country hunks might never have happened.” Young Travis changed things and opened doors for other country singers.

Randy is a very talented country artist, who not only opened up doors for other country singers, but also changed country music forever. He had a rough life growing up but accomplished a lot of goals throughout his life.Randy suffered a life threatening stroke in 2013, and was expected not to make it, he has recovered and still going strong, and is hoping to soon fully recover and be back on stage.
