International Communication
• Before the Internet it was difficult to keep in communication with friends and family who didn't live in the same town; communication was limited to sending pictures and letters by mail and making long distance phone calls, which could be costly. With the advent of the Internet came e-mail, instant messaging, and the boom of social networking sites like Facebook -- all of which give us the tools to communicate in an instant at very little cost. With tools like Skype we can chat face to face with people on the other side of the globe. In addition to keeping up with established relationships, these tools also help us interact with more people from other cultures, helping further our understanding of people from other backgrounds.

Educational Tools
• The Internet gives students access to information beyond that available in their local and school libraries, accessible from anywhere they have an Internet connection. In addition to information that students can access simply by searching the Web and finding a credible source,

Smith begins by establishing the connection today’s students have to the internet and its resources. “Pencils and paper,” he says, are being moved out of the way for “keyboards, webcams, and online drop boxes (Smith 3).” Smith attacks his argument using examples that seem to come from his experience with MyRED and EBSCO search engine, he claims that now more than ever students are completely dependent upon online resources (6). He goes on to mention the convenience of such online supplements, such as being able to register at any time online with MyRED, the ability to check grades or assignments from anywhere on Blackboard, or being able to access a greater wealth of information through search engines like EBSCO(6). As soon as Smith has established the reliance on technology that students have today, he shifts gears. Smith before he goes anywhere with his information, his approach to explaining the amount of weight put on students through the internet shifts to explaining how today’s students are irresponsible and can’t handle the freedom of online…

Perry Patetic says that transportation is why, “...often we lose track of old friends we never see again.”(4). This highly mobile society creates a tremendous distance between people that makes having a close relationship inconceivable. A close relationship over distance is perfectly conceivable and can be even easier than walking across the street, the solution is social media and VoIP. These things allow for advanced communication between any number of people from any distance. VoIP (Voice/Video over Internet Protocol) allows face to face communication with people one may have moved away from. Social Media is a bit more general and indirect form of communication, but combined with VoIP they can be used to maintain a close relationship with someone from around the world. Technology has given us this transportation, and it has also given us the solutions to any problems it may…

First, the main benefit of internet in the learning process is that internet gives information and materials about the lesson. Of course students need sources for their study. Usually, the materials from books are not enough yet, so they have to find other sources. For example: students learn about bones in human body and they need to find the name of bones in human body. They can look for the materials about bones in their books. The materials have not enough yet, so they need to find another source. They can look for it in the internet. If they do not know about the website which provides those…

Providing Internet in schools can be beneficial to students because it can provide students with greater learning capabilities. Before the Internet one would have to scour through many books just to find one small piece of information. With the internet this problem is resolved. One can easily search for the topic and get relevant statistics and extra, more updated, information that one cannot find in a book. The internet can provide this and expands learning outside of the classroom. Through the use of this amazing development we can all be more effective in our work. An example that may illustrate this is a student who needs to write a research paper for school and without the internet he would be all day in a library looking through irrelevant books, but with the internet this all changes. He may now find his information effectively and find other online resources that may assist him in his efforts. The Internet not only provides more information about what was covered in class but extra information and skills that may be applied outside of school. It can answer questions that others may not know completely. The Internet is a critical part of learning in our…
