Monday

Someone in my homeroom

I helped a person in my homeroom by telling him that his bag was wide open.
When he realized that his bag was open, he had gotten a smile on his face and he did give me a smile for helping him. I also felt really different and positive because after helping anyone makes you feel that you are a good person and that negativity is something that doesn’t really suit you.

Tuesday

A family member

I washed the dishes for my mom because my sister wasn’t well and my mom had to be near her the whole time, so then i thought of helping her by doing something that i am able to do. When i did that, I didn’t tell her because i wanted to make her double-happy as when she would come and see the sink, she would be really happy and that’s exactly what happened. My mom was really happy and she has a big smile on her face.
I was also really happy because this work was something i do not usually do and while doing it, I did feel a bit exhausted but the result did come out to be positive.

Wednesday

A teacher

One of my teachers was taking out a box to search

for something and while doing that, the box near it fell down. So I helped him to put all the things that were in the box and put it back to the place. I observed that he had a smile on his face and he also thanked me, this made me and the teacher feel really happy.
Thursday

A person I do not know

Friday

Someone I do not see that often There is this girl in my bus about whom i don’t really know much but all i know is which grade she is in and her name. While she was getting off the bus, her pair of gloves fell down and since i knew her name,I was able to call her and give her her gloves. When i did so, she got a smile on her face as well as me.
Since it was the start of the day, it made my day as doing something positive always leads to something positive at the end.

A civil rights activist named Martin Luther King Jr. once declared “He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it.” King contemplates the issue of those who choose to condone the evil and injustice they see in the world, stating that those who grow complacent with the evil are comparable to those who cause the evil themselves. He condemns those who stand passively as others are mistreated or taken advantage of. In the same vein, an Irish salesman by the name of Edmund Burke proclaimed “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”…

Thursday we had closing VBS. After VBS Yesinia gave me a rubber band because everybody else was giving out bracelets. The team finished work on the construction site. Also we had a closing church service and there was a love offering collected for the pastor’s family. We said our goodbyes and then went back to the hotel. It was hard but we all made a lasting impression upon the people of Pomona. They also made a lasting impression on me, they taught me that it is okay to always be happy, and most of all they made me realize that I am very blessed to have what I…

Aesop, an ancient Greek storyteller, once said, ”No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” Small acts of kindness can have huge impacts on others. First, small acts of kindness might cause the domino effect. Second, acts of kindness can make people’s day. Finally, doing small acts of kindness makes you a good role model for younger people. As a result, a small act of kindness can make a positive impact on another person’s life.…

In America we are very fortunate, the majority of the population is blessed with food to eat and a roof over their heads and the comforting promise of freedom and protection. Our country is solely based on the income and output of families and large corporations; the wealth of our nation allows most of the population to live comfortably. Being raised in a home where past generation family traditions and values are present; coming together to eat dinner and share in conversation, taking a trip to Brazil the summer of my junior change my perspective on life and the world as a whole. I traveled to Brazil with a group of fifteen young people and five leaders from our church set out on a mission of sharing the good news of Jesus.…

People sometimes forget the simple fact that being nice to others can actually be good for them. My mother and some unique persons whom am going to mention later guided and chided me to being a very nice person. Sometimes it works and sometimes it didn 't. After all, we all get ill-tempered from time to time and take it out on those around us. We can see that being nice to others is good for them, but did you realize it 's in your best interest too?…

reallyThis is a story on an act of kindness I did for this girl I didnt know to well. One day as I was walking home from my old school I saw this girl, she looked like a complete nerd someone I wouldn't normally talk to. She was walking home looking really sad, kind of like she had no one to talk to. I walked over to her and introduced myself and she also told me who she was; she said her name is Abby. She was carrying books in her hands and it looked heavy I asked her if I could help. She nodded and told me I was more then welcome. I walked her home that day. I asked her if she would like to hang out sometime to call me and gave her my number, a few weeks later we were best friends.…

Volunteering requires time, effort, and talent but gives exciting impressions, helps to meet new people, acquaintances and gives an opportunity to help those in need. I began my first ever volunteer experience this year at The Boys and Girls Club. The Boys and Girls Club is designed to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to become productive, responsible and caring citizens. In the 1990s, their mission was to first establish clubs in the most challenged communities in America, such as public housing areas and Native American lands, where the work of starting clubs was hard, and sustaining them was even harder. The Boys and Girls Club is now one of the top ten nonprofit organizations in America. A safe place to learn, grow and have fun; state-of-the-art technology and learning centers; and, most important of all, trained professional staff who cares deeply and are dedicated to the success of every child who walks through the doors. The Boys and Girls club strive to develop and retain capable employees who will support the mission and goals of the club. Their are many different positions such as School Site Director, Social Worker, Library Tutor and much more. All of these positions require at least a High School diploma, and many of the others require at least some college experience.…
