TEXAS HISTORY PROJECT
My walk across Texas would be a hard journey or expedition. It would probably start from Houston and end in El Paso. First day I got everything ready in my bag.
1. Sleeping bag
2. Clothes
3. 150$
4. My Dog Trip (he is a germen shepherd)
I got the keys of the car and open the engines. My first destination was to Austin. It’s about two hours. After an hour and a half I had refill my fuel so I refilled it. That cost was about 35$. Then I continued my way and I saw the Colorado River. I was away from Austin 15 minutes and the climate was hot. And it was by 5:00. I was hungry so I stopped at McDonald’s to get a burger. And rest there. I stayed there and stopped at a motel to sleep for night. I was hungry and Trip was too. So I got outside until I saw about 3 lizards. I killed them and then got some rocks and robbed them together to make a fire and cook it. I ate 1.5 Trip too. And got to my room and slept for the night. I got in the morning and I would probably go to Bryan station and stop at Waco. So I went there until I went there and stopped at desert to find cow. I saw one so I killed it and cooked it. I was in Bryan station right now. I didn’t stop there but I continued my way to temple I had to refill the fuel. When I stopped at temple it was raining and in the night. The bad news is a driver crashed my car and run away. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I walked and walked and Trip was about to fall I saw a bike sell place. The bikes was about 50$ and I had 60$ left. So what to do I bought the bike and moved a mile until I felt sleepy. I stopped nearby a desert and opened my sleeping bag and slept until I woke up. It was really weird like about 50 lizards around me. I killed them ate two and trip ate three. And moved by my bike till Waco. I ate two lizards without trip seeing me when I was looking at hip I crashed a big rock and my bike got into two halves. I stayed at my place until a guy saw me and told that he wants to explore Texas and

    The April 22, 2005 newspaper article is headlined, Teenager Dies in Crash, in Knoxville, Tennessee: just another victim of inexperienced teenage driving who adds to the high statistics on casualties resulting from inefficient laws. According to the teen driving statistics that are provided by the insurance companies, 16 year-olds are three times more likely to die in a motor vehicle crash than individuals who fall within the range of the average age of all drivers.     I looked around and saw a small dirt road that lead away from the beach inland. I decided to take the road, not realizing what was in store for us.     Research Paper Raising Driving Age to 18 In the 13 July, 2011 USA Today newspaper article by William Van Tassel, manager of AAA’s driver training program, says that, “ Teens do continue to drive distracted even when they recognize the dangers,” According to the teen driving statistics that are provided by the CDC, about 3,000 teens died in auto accidents in 2009 and 350,000 were treated for injuries. For all those reasons, I think the legal driving age should be raised to 18 from 16. One shocking thing I have found is that it is not only because of their teenage age, but that they are inexperienced drivers. In addition, The driver's ed classes are also effect on teenage driving ways. The classes need to be more strict driving safety. However, bad teenage driving has recently resulted in many tragic deaths; most 16 and 17 years drivers are not mature enough to take decision on the road. All problems can be solved by giving good instructions to all teenagers, buckle up while driving, and the most important thing raising the legal driving age to 18. I've researched about teens driving at the age of 16, and I found out that the deaths aren't from reckless driving alone, but also the drivers are inexperienced. I was reading the Atlanta Journal and Constitution and the headline stated “Teens need more than crash course in safety". Driver’s ed classes are the most important thing how teenagers drive; however, in those classes, they mostly teach about how to pass the driving test. For example, I took my driver’s ed class in 2009, in my high school. Their teaching class was 15 days long, but their teaching class on driving car was only 2 days long. This is how I passed my driver’s ed class, yet I did not learn enough from their practice driving. In addition, the book “Crash Proof Your Kids” said, “your advice or approach to a given driving situation may differ from the advice given to your teen by his driver education book or teacher.”(pg 48) To be able to…

    "Many teens are interested in being able to drive at a younger age, but it is still unclear if they are able to handle it. However, recently the government has been trying to pass laws that may change the current driving age of 16. There are positive and negative aspects to changing the laws that allow the driving age to stay at 16.There have been new bills being proposed that mite be passed. "The Minister for Urban Services has introduced a Bill (proposed law) into the Assembly. He wants to amend the Road Transport (Driver Licensing) Act 2000. The new Bill is called the Driving Age Amendment Bill. This Bill is intended to raise the age at which people can apply for a learner's permit and driver's license." (Legislative Assembly). This bill will raise the driving age if it is passed but the aspects of what will happen should be considered before we change it. There are many different reasons why we should keep it at 16. First off it's a good working system that we have followed for a long time. Another good reason that helps this concept is that the teenagers are still in school so it's easier for them to take drivers training. If there are more drivers that ultimately mean that more people will be paying for insurance. There are also the reasons why we should change it from 16. Like for instances most 16 year olds aren't responsible enough to drive. "The facts show that younger drivers (those between ages 16 and 25) receive more citations, are more likely to have their driving privilege suspended, and are responsible for more accidents than drivers in any other age group."
