I am naturally very friendly and enjoy talking to others, this will be beneficial during room check when girls are still awake and want to share things about their day. I am not shy and am not afraid to enforce the rules, especially the dress code, although I am a student. I am very creative and will enjoy decorating the hallway to make the girls feel welcome in my dorm. I am also and very organized and will be informative to the girls so that they will know about upcoming events each week such as dorm or campus devotionals and campus wide events. I will also remind them of certain events approaching such as clean sweep and saving energy week(s).

I have been attending the Church of Christ since I was born. I now attend church at Crosswind Church of Christ while school is in session. I am extremely comfortable talking to students about their faith. I have spoken at girls devotional, been a prayer group leader at the three past retreats, was in charge of the Bible classes of Jr. Camp at MSYC last summer and will be this coming summer, and am currently the youth intern at Crosswinds COC and teach the High School girls Wednesday night class. This is an area that I feel very comfortable.

I am a leader in many ways. I am holding leadership roles as officers in PKA and STEA and am a leader to the girls at my church, in my club and any one who sees my actions. I am constantly being a leader by representing the most Christ-like persona I am able to, at all times. Being in the positions that I am in make me a leader, but I try to be a positive leader regardless of what position I

It is difficult to narrow down the many instances where I have showed great leadership but many can be found in my involvements in teamwork. I have been looked to as a leader and have taken responsibility for various group projects. I have discovered much about fairness, compromise, and responsible qualities that are required to be a "good" leader. Often, I have had to sacrifice my own free time and personal desires for the benefit of the group. I believe this is the most important part of being a leader, the ability to sacrifice individual time and desires for the overall gain of the people that you are leading.…

To be a leader one must possess a unique style and trait of leadership. Leadership and management are not the same but they both complement each other. A leader has a vision, a drive and a commitment to achieve that vision, and the skills to make it happen. A leader is a person who represents the whole class and motivate them. I did not believe I was a leader. During my freshman and sophomore year of high school, I was a quiet spoken individual who listens to what others have to say. It was not that I did not have anything to say, but it was the fear of saying something wrong and others disregarding what I had to say. I did several presentations in high school that made speaking in front of people more easier. However, I was still the timid person who wanted desperately to break my shell but did not know how. A shocking moment had occurred when I had became secretary of Zonta Club. It was junior year and I was surprised to have been part of the leadership team. I was able to discuss my ideas and to speak with the members at ease. It was my breaking point. I was given a privilege to be part of something that made a change. I was not just the soft spoken person, but I was a leader…

When one thinks of a leader, what type of person do we think of? Is that individual a hero that we see on television, a cartoon character, a family member, or is that person a public servant? Regardless of occupation and title, a leader is a person who inspires others and they know how to motivate people. “When they arrive, you see something about them that stands out. The inner strength of their leadership ability emerges”. (Gonzalez, 2007, February 1). Leaders are individuals in your area of work who are focused on the tasks at hand and they have a clear and concise vision on what their respective organizations are set out to do.…

Leadership is a lifestyle, not a role one adopts. Leadership requires strength and power, but also the ability to empathize and recognize others' needs. As a high school student, I have had many opportunities to be a leader, whether it be through clubs, group projects, or extracurricular activities. During my Junior year, I assistant directed the play Steel Magnolias under the eye of my drama teacher as well as a college student director. This role allowed me to learn the ropes of directing as well as take care of the six girls cast in the show. I adapted the role of the "stage mom," making sure every hair was curled to perfection and every prop was in its place, as well as ensuring their lines were memorized and their staging was proper. I…

I believe that leadership is important because you always need someone to step up and lead others down the right path. Leaders help others to succeed and be the best version of themselves. Without leaders, children would not have role models to look up to and would not know right from wrong. I try to be a leader by being kind to everyone and by making good decisions. I always try to lift people up when they are down and encourage them to never give up. I was also recently nominated to take a leadership class through Southeastern Community College. So far, this class has taught me a lot about being a leader, and I plan to learn much more throughout the coming year.…

I’m interested in leading others because I like my ideas to be heard and I’m comfortable in front of people. A good leader should be open minded, have a decent set of problem solving skills, and be able to take charge. I think that if a leader has lead a group into making a wrong decision, then they should be fully prepared to take the blame. When I was little I was super shy and self-conscious but when I got to high school I discovered a class called Positive Peer Influence that really changed me. The class helped me develop problem solving skills, people skills, and has helped me learn to voice my opinion instead of worrying about what everybody else will think of me. I thought I was a follower when I joined that class but it helped me realize that I truly am a leader.…

However, I just know that being a leader is what I consider myself to be. I am a leader that wants what is best for the organization and what is best for all employees. I am a leader that believes you can never stop learning. Being honest, candid, having passion, respect, confidence, clarity, care, integrity, compassion, and able to engage employees, shows good leadership. Good leadership is having shared visions, humility, empowering, communication and being fearless; this is the type of leader that employees would want to lead them. These are all of what my personal philosophy of leadership is and more. When it comes to being a leader, I do not want to be just good, I want to be one of the best and at some point in my life, the…

I am a leader. I have all the qualities that make a great leader, but I was not born this way.Experiences and how someone reacts to those experiences are what truly make a leader. One of the most influential experiences I have gone through is called the Lebanon High School Marching Band. I am certain that I wouldn’t be who I am today if it weren’t for marching band. Before coming to high school I already had leadership qualities, but band helped bring all those great qualities together and helped me get past my two major flaws: my lack of self-confidence and the fact that I was probably one of the shyest people you would EVER meet. When I joined marching band, I spent most of my waking hours sweating and suffering alongside wonderful people that I longed to…
