Dear Veterans, Each of you have placed this nation's security and the freedom of others before your own lives. I would like to thank you for all the hard work that you have done to make the world a better place and the consequences that came along with serving for the country. I know how hard it most of been to leave your love ones behind but your choice has guaranteed many people lives to be safer. I might sound selfish saying that because I'm siting home in a safe place and your fighting to keep the people safe in America but the amount of honor and respect towards you and your family will never be forgotten. This memory of being a hero on this planet will never be taken away from you and always will be honored by my community. I believe that you are a very brave person and wise, nothing will stop you from accomplishing your goals so I encourage you to never give up because sometimes their are bad times but it will all ways get better at the end. We the people are waiting for the veterans to come back safe and are missing everyone of you. I know very family misses everyone of you and hopes for you to come back even in hard times because some might keep it in side and not tell the person. To make this letter interesting i found couple of questions that will make you think. The first one is why do we call some religions “mythologies” (ancient Greek, Norse, Egyptian, etc.) and others religions? Is this fair? What does this show about how relevant certain ideas are as society progresses? Second question is who are you? Names, nationalities, and virtually any other socially-defined attributes do not count. Deep down, who are you? The third question is do you push the elevator button more than once? Do you really believe it makes the elevator faster?. Forth question is what is your happiest childhood memory? What makes it so special? I would like to thank all the veterans for serving for the United States and wish you all the best. I hope for all of you to get back to your families alive and to have a safe journey. My prayers go out to you and your family. God bless Sincerely, Weronika

It saddens me to hear about the complete lack of value to the war effort put on by this small group of Americans. That key leaders given the authority to effect change sit idle while lives are lost. But then, as I stomach that blow, I focus on their true grit, their courage, their resolve, their valor, the bravery, their fearlessness, their dedication, the sheer tenacity of these Hero’s, and I am reminded of why our country is so great. God bless those that lost their lives in this battle, and the families that they left…

I wanted to write you this letter because now the Great War is over and there are some topics that I wanted to address, and, since we haven’t talked since the war started, I wanted to make sure that you know that I am okay. As you most likely know, I’m still living and working in Washington County, Virginia. I haven’t had much involvement in the war efforts myself, however, I am waiting for my husband’s return from fighting in Europe, or a letter saying that he has passed away. Since he is gone, I have had to take care of the farm and work a low-salary part-time job, which has changed my everyday life a lot.…

Fighting for freedom was the reason we fought in the first place, and I wish to fulfill that reason. Valley Forge was a very difficult turning point, but in all that there is doubt, there is hope. Whether you win, lose, or die, you’ll be glad you re-enlisted , and so will your aging mother and other family members. I wish to serve for my country as my brother did. I believe that in all that there is bad, there is good. In all that there is darkness, there is light. In all that there is doubt, there is hope to conquer our toughest…

I’m writing to you from Valley Forge in Pennsylvania. Life here is horrible. There’s a lot shortages of everything from food to clothing to medicine. My men are sick from disease, hunger, and exposure. Right now, were camped in crude log cabins and have endured cold conditions while the Redcoats warmed themselves in colonial homes. Naked and starving as they are we cannot enough admire the incomparable patience and fidelity of the soldiery. My men are suffering, but they are so loyal, and even though they are naked and hungry, they will do their best to fight for their country.…

I hope all is well at home. Tell everyone that I miss them very much. I managed to find some paper to write on so I can send you this letter. It’s cold and rainy often here and they haven’t blown the whistle in a while. I have been in the trenches for nearly a month with the British troops. It feels like I have been here for years. “I am preparing to go to the front and I am only sorry that I did not see you all before I went but then mother dear do not lose heart, I may come back again. And mother dear, do have courage. I will be alright, there are thousands of other mothers and relatives in the same circumstances and if I do die I will die with a good heart and all your love upon my lips.”1 I’m hungry all the time because food is scarce. Even when we get food, it is awful. The bread is so raw and dry that sometimes I do not even bother eating it. “This is a place to be in, we have to fight like tigers to get our food here soon as ever it comes up… some get a lot and some don’t get any. If we have money it is a hard job to spend it, if you go the coffee shop or canteen, you have to wait about two hours before it is your turn to be served. If I get through this lot, no more for me.”2 War is definitely not what I expected it to be. Death and disease is all around me and the naïve, glorious thoughts I had about war have now disappeared. “Piles of bodies lie next to me at all times, wounded, dead, or even men…
