Quotes of Life
People fall out of the world sometimes. But they always leave traces. Little things we can’t quite account for. Faces in photographs, luggage, half-eaten meals. Rings. Nothing is ever forgotten, not completely. And if something can be remembered, it can come back.

Sometimes, words aren`t enough to make someone feel that you care for them. It needs a little effort to convince that you are.

Είμαστε φτιαγμένοι από την ύλη των ονείρων" - William Shakespeare "What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger" - Friedrich Nietzsche "Dream, as if you'll live forever. Live, as if you'll die today." - James Dean "Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere." - Albert Einstein

Rachel taught me to believe in myself and follow my dreams;
Finn taught me that true love lasts forever;
Quinn taught me to face my problems instead of running away from them;
Mercedes taught me that you are beautiful no matter what anybody says;
Brittany and Kurt taught me that it's okay to be yourself in front of anyone;
Santana and Sue taught me that even bad people can change;
Blaine taught me to do anything daring for your loved one;
Artie taught me to stand up no matter how much it hurts;
Mike taught me to live your own life instead of your parents';
Tina taught me about asian pride;
Puckerman taught me to learn from mistakes and do better;
Sam taught me about determination;
Emma taught me to love unconditionally;
Mr. Schuester taught me to...simply not stop believing.
Glee taught me that life & music is beautiful, these 3 seasons were epic and irreplaceable ♥ ♥ ♥ No goodbyes as I'd surely be replaying them over & over & over again often...

I really like the way glee showed that even the most prepared person, like Rachel, can mess up...but you still have to follow your dreams.

    1. ” ’But the Director’s old; lots of people are old; they’re not like that.’ ‘That’s because we don’t allow them to be like that. We preserve them from diseases. We keep their internal secretions artificially balanced at a youthful equilibrium...’“ (Huxley 110-111). In this excerpt it can be determined that Lenina is incapable of acknowledging the fact that people can appear physically aged. This is due to the reason that the World State does not allow it to happen through a series of scientific methods, which is meant to benefit the society.…

    What is true happiness? This is an important question that is related to Brave New World, a novel by Aldous Huxley. This book was written right after the first automobile was mass-produced, the Model T Ford. This assembly line production sparked Aldous' mind into thinking if humans were produced in the same way. When Aldous imagined this he thought that the world would be quite different and he decided to write a satire on present day culture. He thought that a world like this would be in a certain state of happiness. The residents of World State A.F. 632 are not truly happy. Instead they live a life of instant gratification, or a fleeting moment of happiness that ends quickly. Also they have no adversities in their life so they are never truly…

    Never Give Up Quotes

    I think one of the themes in this book “Exposed” is Never Give Up. Don’t ever give up on anything you want to and never let it slip without fighting. In the book it says, " She's been avoiding me all week long.” page 45. Yes the girl was avoiding her, but she never stopped trying to talk to her, like in this quote she talks about it with her, " Im sorry, Liz, but I can’t be with you anymore.Every time i’m with you I see him.” pg 131 " I thought we were friends! Forever-Best-Friends!” pg 130 I think she was brave for trying to keep cool and try to fix it. She never gave up on the friendship she want to still have and have her inner life.Another theme I thought was in this book is trust, it talks a lot about how Liz doesn’t believe Kate yet…

    Rachel Berry Monologue

    "Hi my name is Rachel Berry and I'll be singing "On My Own" from the seminal Broadway classic Les Mis. You might laugh because every time I sign my name I put a gold star after it, but it's a metaphor. And metaphors are important. My gold stars are a metaphor. For me. Being a star. [...] You might think that all the boys in school would totally be into me, but my MySpace schedule keeps me way too busy to date. I try to post a My Space video every day just to keep my talent alive and growing. Nowadays, being anonymous is worse than being poor. Fame is the most important thing in our culture now, and if there's one thing I've learned, it's that no one's going to just hand it to you. My extensive auditioning for Community Theater has taught me that you either want to go first or last. If you're first then everyone has to measure up to you. And if you're last then you're the freshest in the judges' minds. School pictures are everything to me. They're great practice for the paparazzi. Snap out of this.…

    High School Musical: the 2006 movie that changed America and me. The movie depicted high school as a place where students sang in between classes, danced on the lunch tables, and, obviously, found lifelong love. As a wide-eyed six year old, all of this sounded great to me. I was itching to go to high school and participate, and if someone had asked me to, I would’ve dropped everything for that dancing and singing kind of scenario.…

    Aphorisms

    • 321 Words
    • 2 Pages

    Aphorisms are concise statements about the world around us. Today, I asked my mother and father what were a few aphorisms that they liked. My father replied with the first three, and my mother with the last two. The first aphorism, “Play the hand you were dealt,” means to me that no matter what family I was born into, or what hereditary drawbacks one may be born with, I still have to do my best with what I was given. The second one is “In this world, nothing is certain but death and taxes”; this is applicable to me because I don’t know what uncertainties life may throw at them, but I still have to work at it to overcome them. The third one says, “A penny saved is a penny earned,” which is very characteristic of my father; this simply reminds me that I must be mindful of my money, and rather than buying another useless stuffed animal, I could instead save money to buy myself a car. The next one is “Idle hands are the devil’s workshop,”; I can really relate to this one because whenever I have too much time on my hands, I tend to over think things which ends up being depressing, so I should instead occupy my time to keep the bad thoughts out. The last quote is “Everyone dies but not everybody lives”, and I think this is my favorite aphorism because it tells me that I can’t sit around the house doing homework all day, and I have to actually enjoy the time I was given on this earth. The aphorisms given to me by my parents hold much wisdom, and they are relatable to…
