Can you imagine staring at a screen for four years? The average human will spend four years total staring at their phone, if not more (Doc 7). With the technological advancements our world grew to, our people followed in the growth. By doing so, our human emotions are being replaced with “like” and “dislike” buttons, and our brains only want to learn something if it’s within the first three links in a Google search engine. Students and parents should limit their use of cell phones because they isolate our emotions, they negatively affect our body and mind, and keep us seperated from relationships with people.…

Not only has technology become the biggest factor in our generation differences, but it is now a lifestyle for many. One of the most common devices found today would have to be the cell phone. It’s crazy how they were made as big as a brief case years ago, and can now be bought the size of a 12 piece pack of gum. When talking about cell phones, it’s hard to go without discussing the best of the best. What exactly is the ideal perfect phone? I need my phone to be able to do many things at once. My phone must keep me in contact with friends, have games for when I’m bored, and have internet access for those awkward moments in a crowd of no one you know. The Apple iPhone has easily become the sickest, most professional, and far advanced cell phone in today’s society.…

In regard to the world’s demographic trends, I think Paul Ehrlich theory is correct in the sense that, if humans fail to bring population growth and overconsumption under control, the world will eventually run out of natural resources. Firstly, I agree with Paul Ehrlich on this topic because the rate, at which people are being born, is less than the rate by which they die. This is due to the fact that the world is now advanced in technology, and humans have found cures to diseases. Therefore there are fewer deaths than births. Secondly, I and Paul Ehrlich share the same vision in the sense that the world’s natural resources will run out. For example, the earth is running out of fresh water. In the Ogallala Aquifer in the Midwestern U.S., research shows that we’ve tapped underground water sources pretty heavily in this particular place; Its water level has dropped more than 150 feet, leaving farmers with no water for their crops (NG). Lastly, humans waste a lot of our natural resources. For example, most of the expensive materials sold at the shopping mall are made from our raw materials. We use these materials for a limited time, then we waste it, believing it is not in fashion anymore. Thus, it’s thrown out and burned. In conclusion, I support Paul Ehrlich’s theory that, if humans fail to bring population growth and overconsumption under control, the world will eventually run out of its natural resources. This is due to the higher birth rates than death rates. Humans over use the earth’s natural resources, and the fact that we waste our natural resources, are all reason why I believe in Paul Ehrlich theory.…
