Quality Improvement in Health Sector

Since NPM (New Public Management) approach in Public Sector many things have changed. Public services became much more consumer oriented. Public servants of modern time have much more different approach towards people than before. One of the major influences on that comes from Private sector. Many services provided by public sector today can also be provided in Private sector. Of course those services of private sector are more expensive than in public sector but some services are still affordable for most of the people. In that way competition among public and private sector had an important role in reorganizing public sector and making it much better, efficient and effective. Demand full people of modern time with much greater expectations also played crucial role in change of priorities in public sector. Also it is important to say that Quality Assurance is relatively new in public sector. When we speak about quality of some product it is easy to say what quality is and to measure that quality. It is very different when we speak about quality of some service provided in public sector. In order to go deeper and to analyze quality in Health sector first of all we need to define what Quality Assurance is.
Quality Assurance:
Noun: The maintenance of a desired level of quality in a service or product.
(Source: Internet, no specific dictionary) There are many definitions about Quality Assurance but the truth is that it is not easy to define it. Definition above describes best what the main purpose of the assurance is. It does not to be only about maintenance but also about trying to implement new ways of approaching to improvement of services. Basically it would mean to get some service on a desired level (which in many developed countries is measured and maintained through standardization) and
