One concern for twins placed in the same classroom is that they will not make friends or learn how to interact with others; so twins are separated. Jamison J. Grime Interviewed several sets of twin and found that they all thought it important to have social and peer-interaction with others (90). The twins all knew that they needed to make other friends. However, when twins are separated before they are ready, they will often experience negative emotions such as sadness and loneliness which can impede the twins’ ability to make friends (Grime, iii).
