Hitting the snooze button for another five minutes, when it went off again, Ruth said, “Dam that was quick.” Pulling the pillow over her head, and wanted to go back to sleep, but today she had planned to see her grandfather, after her trip to Howardsville.
During the last few visited him in the Mountaineer Nursing Home, he told interesting stories about Putney Mountain and Howardsville, a mining town forty miles southwest of Charleston in the Allegheny Mountains. Being a young reporter, Ruth wanted to jump-start her career by writing a fascinating story about a true haunted mountain.
Stumbling out of bed, she turned on the coffee pot, showered, and dressed in a low, cut red top, tight denim jeans. Pouring a cup of coffee and emptied the pot

Walking across the field covered with weeds, and bushes, Ruth thought she saw somebody looking out the window, and then she watched an ole man stagger out the front door, down the steps and out into the yard. At first, he frightened her when he started toward her, but she wanted to talk to him, and went up the gravel road to meet him, stopping in front of his house.
“Hi there,” she said.
“Who are you and what do you want?” Even though, he sounded cranky as he came towards her and frightened her, she refused to move. Telling him her name was Ruth Bishop, and she wanted to discuss the mountain behind his house. As soon as he told her his name was Ernest Cassidy, he recalled the Bishop name, and asked if she had relatives living town.
Once again, it appeared her grandfather’s stories were correct, and it thrilled her. After telling him, her grandfather lived in Howardsville several years and managed the auto parts store, the ole man calmed down and recalled the name Bert Bishop. For several minutes, they talked about her grandfather, Mr. Cassidy was sad to her about the illness.
"He was nice to me. What can I do for you?" The ole man

Even if it’s the member’s intention to return home, the case should still be processed within the guidelines of determining eligibility.…

Approaching the entrance of the ranch, Isaac looked at the Tudor house, looking at the colorful flowers growing around it. There didn’t seem to be anyone in the house, turning his attention to the fields. Some of the Pegasi ate the grass, the other ones laid down on the pasture. Isaac’s face beamed, rushed to get closer to the fence. Looking over at the wooden fence, he tried to get one of them to come towards him. Isaac did his best to try and grab their attention.…

The primroses were over. Toward the edge of the wood, where the ground became open and sloped down to an old fence and a brambly ditch beyond, only a few fading patches of pale yellow still showed among the dog's mercury and oak-tree roots. On the other side of the fence, the upper part of the field was full of rabbit holes. In places the grass was gone altogether and everywhere there were clusters of dry droppings, through which nothing but the ragwort would grow. A hundred yards away, at the bottom of the slope, ran the brook, no more than three feet wide, half choked with kingcups, watercress and blue brooklime. The cart track crossed by a brick culvert and climbed the opposite slope to a five-barred gate in the thorn hedge. The gate led into the lane.…

I have a lot to talk about. There's a lot going on in my life. I always thought my grandma would never pass away. I always knew she would eventually but I did not it expect to happen when it did. My grandma was like my best friend, I love spending the night at her house and then waking up to french toast in the morning. She fell on a Friday night and I was supposed to spend the night at her house on Saturday. I found out at Saturday that she fell from my pastor. My uncle wouldn't call my mom so I was crying when I found out because I did not know all of what happened or if she was okay or not. I finally found out that she fell and hit her head and she had a brain bleed. When I was able to see her, she didn't really know who I was. I had to remind but that was okay, I was just happy to see her. She was getting better we thought but then about 3 weeks ago she was leaning to her left side, and my mom thought she had a stroke. She asked the nurse that night at the nursing home if she could figure out what was wrong with her but she said "I'm…

Back in 2004 someone that my family knew had a loved one in a nursing home. This family was obligated to put their loved one in a home because she had suffered from an accident and no one in the family was going to be able to take care of her. After the lady had been in the nursing home for awhile the family was not visiting her as often as they had when she was first put into the home. The lady started suffering from other medical problems that were caused by her becoming depressed. This happened not only because she was not visited as much but also because she was not getting all of the attention she needed. Over time the lady became more and more depressed due to lack of visitation and lack of attention at the nursing home. At first a nursing home may sound like a great idea but research should always be done before hand. Nursing homes may not always be the best option because it can cause the person to suffer from neglect and depression, so family members should consider all of the options before placing someone they love in a home.…

The Arborwood Nursing home is a great organization which takes care of the adults, and provides food and shelter. They excel in adult daycare, assisted living, and senior apartments.I first volunteered on November 19th of this year, and then volunteered again on December 4th. Both of these days I have worked from 6-7 PM. I was not handed any major responsibility during both my visits and was just to entertain the people living there and bring them joy.…
