These women protest with lyrical songs consisting of topics on feminism, LGBT rights, opposition to the policies of the Russian President Vladimir Putin. They also make links between Putin and the Russian Orthodox Church. Pussy Riot is already a controversial group because they perform in inappropriate places, but one specific performance at Moscow's Cathedral of Christ the Savior threw these women
