Pursuing A Career In Cosmetology

From a young age I remember going to the nail salon with my mom and sitting next to her while she got her nails done. I always wanted my nails to look as pretty and long as her nails did. Of course, I was too little for acrylic nails so a simple manicure did the job for me. I think all those years of going to the nail salon with her really got me thinking that, I could actually do that. Years after that I would do my friends and family's nails at home. Now that I have graduated high school, it's time for me to live my dream of becoming a licensed cosmetologist. I know cosmetology isn't just nails, its so much more than that. I want to learn anything and everything cosmetology has to offer me. Getting my cosmetology license is a really big deal for me, it's not just a job, its something I've been wanting since I've been in elementary school.
Make-up and nails have been a huge part of why I want to be a cosmetologist but I am very open to learning new things and more about skin and hair. I have little to no experience with cutting/styling hair but I believe it will be a fun thing to learn.
Being up to date on the latest styles and trends is very important and I am constantly looking to see whats new and what everybody is interested in. Being able to know exactly what style the client wants is very important and thats why being up to date with new trends is very important in the beauty
