Pumpknito's Love Story: A Day At Transylvania School
he moon glowed over the sky when class started at Transylvania School. It was the year 1880 when Pumpknito turned into the only pumpkin/ Dracula. This was the night Pumpkinito lost his confidence, and his ability to talk to lady bats.

When he went to school, he encountered Susanne and Louis in the hallway. They quickly figured out something was different about Pumpkinito, and made fun of his orange, plump body with wings. Susanne and Louis said,
“ Yuck!! Nobody get close to him because you can risk becoming infected.” This made a river of tears escape out of Pumpkinito’s eyes.

Pumpkinito hoped that nobody had seen Louis do that because it would give his classmates, and Ms. Cheryl a new reason to make fun of him. He tried to quickly fly to his room at home hoping that not even his mom wouldn’t notice his arrival. When he got to his room he shut the door, and the flood tears appeared simultaneously. He cried himself to sleep that morning.

The hours flew by for Pumpkinito. When it was time to go to school, he started to dread even existing. He was taken to school to start a good day. At least that is what his mother thought. He quickly spotted Sasha, and his heart started beating as loud a drum. He soon noticed he felt deep passion for her. While Sasha tried talking to him, he ignored her because he was speechless around her. Louis noticed what was going on, and interrupted. Louis also noticed that Sasha was the most perfect of all bats in school, and wanted her to be for him.

After class right before lunch started, Louis brutally kicked Pumpkinito in front of Sasha. She shoved him away from Pumpkinito. Pumpkinito’s day was lit up because the love of his life had saved him. Pumpkinito couldn’t even say “Thanks” because he was tongue tied around

Curtis and Janet went to a different school then Rufus but he still walked them to school then walked himself to school. On his way to school a car followed him very slowly but Rufus kept walking. When he got to school it looked the same on the outside that it always had. Rufus pushed open the doors at Searingtown School and yelled “I’m back!” All of his friends ran over to hug him. He went down to the office to get a tour he thought he didn’t need because he remembered every single solitary thing about this place. While the tour was going on everything going on was a blur. He looked left, right and left again, admiring the changes the school had made. “Wow” he sighed. “Is there a problem Rufus?” the tour guide asked. Rufus answered, “When I was here the wall paint was all chipped, there were broken windows and holes in the walls.” “Oh ok, well that concludes our tour and this door on your right is your first period class.” The tour guide replied. Rufus walked in and sat at an available seat at the back of the class room. He opened his notebook and took notes even though he didn’t understand anything that was going on. By the time 5th period came around it was time for lunch he was starving. All of his friends called him over and asked him to sit with him. Momma didn’t make him a big lunch because they didn’t have that much food in the house and then needed to split it 3 different ways. Allison who used to have a big crush on Rufus sat right next to him. Mitchell and Charlie sat across from him and Christina, Alisha and Sammy sat around them. It was pumpkin galore around me. I was in search for a giant, round, brilliantly orange pumpkin to be the face of my carving masterpiece. I was astonished to find small, big, round, lopsided, smooth, bumpy, light orange, and dark orange pumpkins; so many options! All around me I could hear the thumps of pumpkins being dropped into little red wagons. Children bundled in rain jackets, hats, scarves, and boots ran by with mud sprinkled up their pants. They did not seem to be the slightest bothered by their bright red noses and white little fingertips; pure happiness.…
