public transport
Public transport is the transport that is being used by the public such as bus, taxi, and train. In the city such as in Kuala Lumpur, public transport is normally used by community to avoid traffic jam. I absolutely agree with the statement that people entering the city should use public transport. It is because, public transport is more cheaper, can avoid traffic jam, and also can reduce pollution.

For people that disagree with the statement, they normally will say that it is easy to use their own transport rather than public transport. They might be says that it is more comfortable. But if we look into other side, by using public transport as our transportation, it is much beneficial as it can help us being more disciplined because public transport has the time table that everyone must follow. Besides, we also can manage our time properly by being on time.

Moreover, public transport is cheaper than if we use our own transport. As we know, price of petrol is now RM2.90 a litter as it was increased by 20 cent. If we use our own transport, we spend around RM50 a day only for petrol. Therefore, by using public transport, we only spend RM10 and below only for one day. Thus, we can save our money that will spend on petrol or toll. We can use that money for other things or save it for the future.

On the other hand, public transport can avoid traffic jam. People that use public transport should not be worry about being late. It is because public transport is always on time. Plus, traffic jam can make us being stress because of the horn form the cars or the smoke from the lorry. Thus, by using public transport, we can reduce the stress and have a good mood at the beginning of the day. We just need to sit and wait until we reach the destination.

Next, pollution also can be reduced by using public transport. In general, the smoke from the vehicles that are carbon monoxide can cause the layer of atmosphere become thinner. Then, it will cause global warming which

    London, Birmingham, Manchester all has public transport and they are all horrendous. Don’t get me started on, if they are road works going on, strikes, and trains getting cancelled .The things which annoy me about public transport are, let’s take buses for example: Buses they are awful! On one December morning as you stand in the freezing cold as it rains and drip drop drip as the rain falls on you, your nose red as a tomato and your finger tips frozen as ice waiting for a bus, do you agree with me or not? As you just wait for the big bright lights to shine fiercely and to glow in the distance as you wait patiently. Trains are better but they still have negatives just like buses, with trains you just can’t even be a minute late because the train is just not going to wait, as you are running 100 miles per hour just like an athlete Usain Bolt as he runs like a cheetah and sprints cross the track.…

    Not only do people have to pay for high parking prices and fuel, but also the expense incurred when they take their car to the garage to have it repaired. Unlike private cars, public transport has reserved lanes in many cities; so long delays due to traffic congestion can be avoided by taking a bus or a taxi. As far as the environment is concerned, the use of public transport instead of private cars makes a difference. For example, if the people who use a bus were to use their own vehicles instead, this would definitely contribute to air pollution.…

    Every citizen in every city, town, state and borough all around the world use public transport on a day-to-day basis. Surely this would indicate that at least one city, town, state or borough in the whole world would be able to successfully reach a bus stop on time. That would make sense wouldn’t it? However, wherever you go in the world – whether that be in London, New York, Paris or Tokyo – I am certain you would find one thing in common with their public transport system; they are all utterly horrendous. This fact is true even without all the additional problems, and there are quite a few of those, to say the least. If you have the great misfortune to live or work in London, you will know that public transport workers can’t go a week without declaring they will be going on strike about one thing or another. “What’s the problem now?” and “What are they complaining about this time?” are frequent questions you will hear floating around London; like the grey, smoky fog that lingers in its once blue skies. As if this wasn’t enough, you then have road works and cancelled trains to contend with. And don’t even get me started on taxi’s supposedly taking the ‘’short cut’’.…

    Using a car can be a faster way to travel from one point to another compared to public transportation. With a car, a person can pick a route that he/she want to from A to B. During the time of travel, a person driving can only listen to the radio. Public transportation takes a longer time because they have fixed routes and time schedules. The cost factor of transport by car or public transportation is quite a lot of time commuting that public transport will be out on top. These are some of the costs involved with traveling by public transport vs. the car. A car will need fuel, insurance, tax, maintenance and repairs and parking costs. For public transport the costs of tickets, food or drink, and newspapers for it is optional. When you look at things this way then there are obviously more costs involved with driving a car to work every day or to school. Some people would argue that rising public transport prices is the gap that is rapidly closing; however, there is a certainty the potential for more expense when using a car. Yet, some people may get lucky and have a very reliable vehicles that rarely something goes wrong and it would cost very little to run on fuel. I have always had very bad luck with cars, and have sometimes ended up paying double the value of the car in repairs and maintenance. There are some real advantages of using a car to travel to work rather than public transport although many of them are objective. What one commuter loves, another will hate.…

As an example, from simply walking followed by using animals as their transportation to the moment when vehicles were created clearly shows that transportation has massively evolved. It is also the center of economic and social development. However, traffic in cities is a major problem due to its large population. It can be very annoying and irritating when we are stuck in traffic jams for few hours long. As such, in order to reduce traffic congestion, we should consider alternatives such as car-pooling and using public transport.
