Attention Getter: I will be asking my classmates from one side of the classroom to move to the other, and vice versa. I will ask them whether they feel weird, displaced and uncomfortable just by moving to the opposite end of the classroom? Then I will ask them close their eyes and imagine they 're running away from your country to flee war. Living a life where often their own government is threatening to persecute them? Why? Because you just wanted to save your life? And now you have no where to go, and have no protection. One woman is helping these refugees, comforting them in their discomfort, trying to make the change, and that 's Angelina Jolie.…

Public speaking can be defined as continuous formal presentation to an audience made by a presenter . Most of the time, people use public speaking to deliver vital messages to the public in proper way. As its name implies, it is a way of communication that will make our ideas public. Through public speaking, we share our ideas with people and it may influence people’s thoughts. Nowadays, many people around the world use public speaking to spread their ideas and influence such as Franklin Roosevelt, Billy Graham, Martin Luther King, and Barack Obama. Prime Minister Julia Gillard says using the seal of the confessional to cover up child abuse is a "sin of omission" because all adults have a duty of care towards children. “It's not good enough for people to engage in sin of omission and not act when a child is at risk," she said. From this statement you can tell what I’m going to be talking to you about in this public meeting. My name is Justine Smith, and in the recent weeks, allegations of child sexual abuse by priests and other members of the Catholic Church have once again entered the spotlight of the media. Allegations that both child sexual abuse and institutional cover ups and investigations appear to be widespread and ongoing, the Federal Government has recently announced a Royal Commission into child sexual abuse. Confessions made to the priests are confidential and should not be allowed for the third person to know, as it is under the seal of confessions hence that it should never be broken. Everyone in this room has their own opinion about this issue but nobody has the right to tell priests what to do including myself. Priests have their own mind and religious beliefs, and they don’t follow the same law as you or either you. The confessional is red herring, so there is no proof of anything except for just simple words. Also for priests to betray the peoples trust and report it would cause less people to tell their confessions and that would just lead to further danger.…
There are numerous different classification systems for vocabulary learning strategies. Several common used are listed at the following. Gu and Johnson (1996) developed a classification of vocabulary learning strategies that are beliefs about vocabulary learning, metacognitive regulation, guessing strategies, dictionary strategies, note-taking strategies, memory strategies (rehearsal), memory strategies (encoding) and activation strategies. Schmitt (1997) took advantage of Rebecca Oxford’s (1990, p.14) classification of learning strategies containing memory strategies, cognitive strategies, metacognitive strategies, and social strategies, and the Discover/Consolidation distinctions suggested by Cook and Mayer to propose an extensive taxonomy of vocabulary learning strategies. It can be divided into two classes. Five groups are included in these two classes.…
