Proud to Be an American
30 Feet Under... One dark stormy night, it was just me in my back yard digging when I came upon a large, red, wooden door with a rusty door knob right in front of me. The first thing I thought to myself was, WOW! There's a door under my house. They I thought why is there a door under my house? I stood there and thought if I should go in but I didn't want anything to happen. So I climbed out and went in my house and I went on the computer to see if there was anything about the door and why would it be under there. I typed it in, pressed enter, and it read "Research Not Found". I went back outside and climbed back down the hole. I approached the door once more. I knocked, knocked, and knocked. No answer. So I opened the door as quietly as I could. The more I open it the louder it got. I tightly fit through the opening and asked if anyone was there? No answer. I walked around. It was really cold, big, and wet and slimy stuff was coming off the ceiling. I looked and there was a little door in the corner and all of a sudden the door slammed. "Ahhh!!.." I yelled. Thinking it was the wind. I slowly walk back to the door and behind me the pots and pans started to rattle and hit the wall and fall off the table. "This can't be happening. It's just the wind." But the door was shut. All of a sudden I felt a boney hand on my shoulder pushing me into the door in the corner that I seen earlier. What ever that person was doing to me was pouring this weird purple stuff in my mouth that made me fall asleep. "Where am I and what is going on?" I ask myself. It was dark, quiet, smelly, and there were nails and screws coming out of the walls. I got really scared. I looked up for 5 seconds and looked back down and there she was. The old lady that put me in here. She was at least 6'6" tall, with long, crazy hair, big, round eyes, with and fat, long nose, and really pointy ears. She told me to come out. I said "no!" "What do you want from me and why are you doing this to me?" I

It was a cold stormy night. The house was still. I was lying in bed when I heard a series of knocks at the door. As I descended the stairs the knocks were getting louder and louder. I thought to myself, "Who could be at the door this late at night?" When I opened the door there was a tall man dressed all in black. He smelled of fish and looked like he just walked out of a mud pit. He was having car troubles and needed to use the phone. I invited him in and told him that the phone was down the hall in the living room. Instead of calling the tow truck he called his friend, George, to come pick him up. I invited him to have a cup of coffee and some cookies while he waited for his friend to pick him up. We talked for about an hour when there was another knock at the door.…

Snow started to shower as if on a peaceful rainy night and I look for any opening, trying to escape this creature that was following me. I could make out a large building figure ahead and ran directly to it, exhorting my energy as I advanced through the shivers in my body and aching bloodstained legs. An old tainted church-like mansion appeared as the fog cleared and I forced my way up the frigid sleet hill and onto a rusty pavement beside the building. I leaned upon the 5-metre tall wooden door trying to hear any sound coming from inside the outsized building, trying to sense any civilisation as the sky slowly turned into a rich black shade. I knocked onto the polished door, trying to depict a reaction from the owner that might've lived in this secluded place. Lights started to rapidly appear above the door and forming a luminous loop around the entire mansion, whilst the door blew open with such force that I was knocked back onto my spine. I tried to scamper away on my knees as a spine-chilling sensation started to form from what was a supernatural…

Pulling up on this old beat down gas station. We all knew it was old when the sign was hanging loosely and swinging with the wind. My dad needed to put gas but I could see he was very skeptical. I rolled my window down getting closer to the gas pump, when I smell the most unpleasant scent I have ever smelt. I told my dad we would have to pay for the gas on the inside because the machine was so old that dirt and spider webs built up in the card machine reader.…
