Prospective Father Experiences

I did my research on Dad's experiences during the pregnancy process and I found a very interesting article on the database titled "Prospective fathers' adverse childhood experiences, pregnancy-related anxiety, and depression during pregnancy". Fathers can become stressed or have anxiety during the mothers pregnancy. Whether the father has anxiety during pregnancy depends on their past experiences. According to Smith (2015), "Anxious and depressive feelings during pregnancy can be related to relational disharmony with their partners" (p. 110). For example if their past relationships had problems they might have anxiety of what will happen once the baby is born. The father experiences so much feelings and disorders during the pregnancy because they become attached to their partner and start feeling the same feelings the mother has.
