When you speed, you have less time to react to unexpected situations. Other drivers have less time to react to your situation. With that being said, you can easily harm someone or yourself if not kill them by not watching your surroundings. Because like stated before, you not only have little time to react at the normal speed of traffic; but now you are speeding which takes away from the normal time, in return gives you minimal to NO time to react at all.…
I thought this would make a good bumper sticker or billboard because in module five we learned about being safe while driving. In order to drive you have to be "smart" or have some knowledge on how to drive. You always have to be prepared for what might happen. Even if your'e doing the correct things while driving others may not be. If you cannot think ahead and realize this might be a dangerous situation you may put yourself in a bad place and not have the ability to get out before it becomes unsafe.…
My billboard would be great because so many drives, whether they are young or old, are speeding causing unnecessary accidents, killing or injuring innocent people. More and more drivers are becoming reckless. To either just show-off or from being impatient..…
You’re driving, you get a text from your best friend, and you just look at the screen of your cell phone when suddenly BAM you’re in a car accident! In just ten seconds your whole life turned upside down by what, a car accident, because you were just distracted for about ten seconds. Funny isn’t it, how in a second, your life can shatter like that? What if you didn’t get distracted? Those what ifs are the only thing you are left with once you survive through an auto accident, just plain regret. What’s left to ask is how car/auto accidents are killing and hurting people for their entire life. I’m Aizay Tariq and the issues we’re going to be investigating are the three main reasons people get into car accidents, which are distracted driving,…
As modern technology has advanced over the years, the number of distractions to driving have increased. It is not only a phone call, or a conversation with a passenger, that can take attention from the road- but more contemporary forms of inattention, which stem from texting and driving. Being distracted while driving can lead to fatal results. Attempting to juggle operating a vehicle and typing out a text message is just as dangerous, if not more dangerous, than driving while intoxicated. Research has even found that the probability of a driver crashing is twice as likely if the individual was texting than if they were driving intoxicated. Many cities and states have implemented ordinances and laws in an attempt to ban electronic device use…
There are times when you might not want to worry about driving. During these times it might feel good to just sit back and relax, while you leave the driving to someone else. Perhaps you're going on a brewery and wine tour with a group of friends, for example. It just doesn't seem fair that one person has to skip tasting the wine or beer in order to be the designated driver. What happens if the designated driver isn't as responsible as you thought? This can lead to a host of problems that can quickly turn a fun day out, into something that takes your life down a very difficult path. Instead of taking such a huge risk, it makes more sense to have a hired driver. No one makes a night out more fun than we do. Make West Coast Limo Bus in Chula…
The drivers can be the reasons of car accident, if at any time they don’t utilize seat strap while there are driving and if at any points they don’t take the road regulations. Driving affected by medications or liquor is the real issue , driving with a high speeding.…
In 1991, the U. S., automobile accidents were responsible for about 49.4 percent of all accidental deaths. That is not all from speeding, but it would be higher without speed limits. Motorists who exceed speed limits swerve in and out of lanes, which cause them to lose control of their vehicle. When seeing these cars on the news, speeding and getting into car accidents, you see the picture of the car and it is smashed. It leaves a fatal memory.…
Summary: As the police departments in the U.S. get tougher on drunk drivers, some drivers find different ways to stay high while behind the wheel by using prescription pills and marijuana. A new report says drivers are nearly as likely to be high on pot or pills as drunk on alcohol, and it urges states to take steps to better monitor and control drugged driving (Schmitz, 2015). The states and federal government are working on figuring out the policies on recognizing high drivers and punishing them accordingly.…
Four teens are lucky to have survived a December 26 car crash. The teens were traveling along Route 46 when the driver and front seat passenger started fooling around. The passenger grabbed the steering wheel, causing the vehicle to veer off the road. The car slid on the grass, struck two snow plow blades, and ultimately came to a stop between two parked vehicles. Although all four occupants of the vehicle complained of pain, none of them were hurt enough to seek medical attention. While these four teens survived this crash with only minor injuries, others in similar situations are not always as lucky. If you are the parent of a teenage driver, be sure to discuss safety driving practices with your teen.…
One of the last things anyone wants to worry about or even think about is getting into an accident on the road. To make matters worse, no one wants to get into a head-on collision with a truck. Now before…
It gives people an idea road conditions around them. People slow down in areas of hazard and construction. Sometime the conditions are worst. There should be signs for your safety in that case. Police need to raise money for their expensive cars, but the money from speeding tickets goes to fixing the road.…
Why is this a problem, especially for teen drivers?| I believe that all car crashes are horrible, dangerous for everyone involved, and most likely always preventable. There's a couple reasons why i think its such a problem, especially with teenage drivers because.... Crashes are the number one cause of deaths among teenagers. More teenagers die in traffic crashes, then homicide, suicide, drugs and alcohol combined. Although teenagers represent 7% of the licensed population, they are involved in almost 20% of all fatal motor vehicle crashes.I could go on and on with facts, but overall lack of driving experience, visual search habits, distractions, speed and space management, and a poor driving attitude is why car crashes are such a problem with teenage drivers. |…
Speeding is a factor in 31 percent of all fatal crashes, killing an average of 1,000 Americans every month, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), which estimates the cost to society of speed-related crashes to be more than $40 billion each year. Speeding is a problem not only on freeways, but also on local streets. Many commuters opt to take surface streets, thinking they can more efficiently…
Speeding is not just exceeding the maximum posted limit but consists of driving too fast for road conditions (Pulse, The Dangers of Speeding). Speeding is illegal and dangerous. According to The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration driving too fast is the second leading contributing factor in traffic crashes behind impaired driving (Association). Speeding is a triple threat 1. It increases the likelihood of crashing 2. It reduces the amount of available time to avoid a crash and 3. It increases the severity of the crash once it occurs.…
