Pros And Cons Of Underwater Welding
PROS AND CONS OF UNDERWATER WELDING

To briefly present the advantages and disadvantages of underwater welding let us first separate this two compound words, the UNDERWATER and WELDING. Underwater is anywhere where this is water, either in low or in deep aquatic areas. Now, Welding is the action of burning something (particularly a metal) into creating or fixing something with the use of a high temperature to burn down or melt a metallic material so that it can be reformed. Combining this two concepts we can ironically say that it is the use heat in a submerged metal underwater where there is a direct contact of the water and the metal to be burn or to be weld.
If you are considering underwater welding to be a career then considering the pros

Human being are mainly land animals in which its natural mechanism are chiefly functioning to react in land environment. Being underwater for a longtime could cause minor undetected body problems. Being exposed in a cold water at a longer time could even cause hypothermia. Gasses created by heating some metals underwater are dangerous and could pose health damage. The unwelcome working environment in underwater welding such as hot and cold temperature exposure at the same time could cause again another unseen and unfelt damages that are felt later in time.
• SHORT LIFE EXPECTANCY
In most cases underwater welders have the life expectancy of 7 years prior to welding working time. Most of the reasons are associated to the nature of the job. It is said that the death rate is 20 workers out of 300 but varies with the company and the actual environment of the welding area.
• AWAY FROM FAMILY
Being an underwater welder means that the job is to be done in a contractual bases which means that the job is to be done at more likely a longer time. Also the term underwater is not just for display – it means that you will be into the sea or ocean which means that you will really be far from family. Some other who seek this kind of job are driven away by the longing they feel towards their family members exaggerated by being exhausted from

In Aldous Huxley's Brave New World the actions of the conditioned characters in the novel serve to prove that the Brave New World itself would never attain it's goal of happiness. Within the first introduced “Utopian” society, there were various forms of conditioning (and lack there of). This caused a disturbance within the society itself, albeit it was a minor disturbance initially, later it grew into a bigger problem that caused a riff in the mechanical order of the civilization. Outside of the society stood another much different society where a young “savage” conditioned to follow Shakespearian ideals left an even bigger hole in the Brave New World. The various degrees of conditioning, the differences between the seemingly Utopian society and the savage society, and the issues raised from the characters interactions, presents the idea that without perfection, there cannot be happiness, without happiness, there cannot be stability, and without stability, there cannot be a Utopia. Conditioning individuals is only a proper form of control if the conditioned party are the same (in other words, no longer individuals) and no other ideas that contradict the conditioning are brought forth. If those conditions are not met, the “Utopia” will cease to exist as a Utopia, and will crumble as a society. Happiness cannot be obtained in a crumbling society.…

With welding comes many opportunities along with jobs in the construction area, in the “man-made” society we live in today. Throughout all the buildings you see, bridges, and sculptures most if not all have had an element of some type of welding one to it. Whether big or small, most structures that are made of metal that is meant to last. Let's say for a community, welding is always involved. Skilled welders are always in need, more and more buildings need to be built to keep up with the population increasing in communities all over the United States. Without welders and the welding process itself, the way buildings are built, would be considerably different. Welding is used to keep metal bonded together, for walls, ceilings, and even on the equipment they use to construct what you walk into for work everyday. Welding is a necessity for buildings to keep the structure and keep…

Well no, I wouldn’t but let me explain why. This is just me I wouldn’t want this as a job for multiple reasons. One is I do not do going into the ocean where there are sharks and other animals in the water that could hurt me. A second reason I wouldn’t have this as a job is because being under the water and not being able to see all around me or everything under me. In my opinion I don’t like the being in the ocean deep in the ocean. It just scares me because of all of the unknown things in there. I’m also scared that one day the submarine will stop working and go to the sea floor where I can’t get out. Those are the big reasons I would never want to be an oceanographer.…

The American Revolution fundamentally changed American society politically, socially, and economically from 1775 to 1800. The effects of the Revolution were both positive and negative. The political effect of the Revolution was negative in that it left much conflict between different groups of people still living in the United States after the British formally left. Socially, the American society was affected positively as more people came together. The effect was negative on the society because the American Revolution brought on a post-war economic depression.…

There is also many hazards the common ones are hot materials, the arc, and electricity but there are also many hazards from where your welding like pipeline you could have a pipeline explode or underwater welding you could drown. There is also safety equipment you must have like a welding hood, leather boots, safety glasses, welding gloves these are just some of what you will need. There may also be times you are in a confined space or share a space with others and work in awkward positions for hours…

Welder’s are responsible for operating and maintaining their equipment while they follow what a design says to do. When you weld you combine two different metals. Welders are needed to build more permanent structures like bridges and pipelines. More than a 100 processes are out there that a welder can use two combine metals with. The welding field is cut into 3 sects welding, cutting, brazing/soldering. Welding is the combining of two different metals. Cutting is when you use extreme heat to separate the two metals by “cutting” into the metal. Brazing and soldering are relatively the same they are both used in the electronic field to make computers due to the precision of their methods. on the interest part of the ncc assessments they thought that I should be a therapist even though I already know what I want to do in the future as a job which is welding professionally naturally I had a hard time connecting therapeutic work with that of welding. Welding is a art and art can be used in some kinds of therapy especially throughs with ptsd. Therapeutic welding sound kind of made up but it is real the people in these fields are basically welders that have gone through the classes required for both a therapist and a welder.…

Another advantage is that it is one of the safest ways to fish and you don not have to be in very good physical shape to be good at it. In fact many fishermen like to drink beer and smoke cigarettes while they fish. Skin diving requires you to be in very good shape to be effective. I have seen divers that have dove down to sixty feet and literally lay on the ocean floor for three minutes or more to stalk their prey. This is not an ordinary feat for just any person, but a conditioned hunter of the…

Depending on where you go working conditions will vary. Working inside of a plant can also change your working conditions. Some plants have air conditioning in them and will keep the temperature down to room temperature. Plants that don’t have air conditioning can allow the temperatures to get up close to 100 degrees in the summer, and then it will be even hotter welding. Some welding jobs involve working outside which can be either really hot or really frigate depending on where the welder is working. Working conditions also require lifting up to 50 pounds of equipment. Sometimes conditions require bending or twisting of the body, one third of the time. Conditions can be dangerous while welding and requires safety glasses, a shielded darkened helmet, cotton material clothing, and steel toe boots. While welding, the welder can get exposed to pollution, gases, dust, fumes, odors, and poor ventilation. This can cause the welder to feel sick or lightheaded. Work in this occupation involves using your hands to hold, control, and feel objects more than one third of the time. There are a lot of dangerous positions, and dangerous toxins that a welder can be exposed to while on the job. One major distracting thing while welding is the noise level. Any worker who works in a plant will have to have proper earplugs, as the noise can be distracting. In the state of Mississippi…

Great interest is dedicated to welding of lightweight structures, particularly because of economic reasons derived of part count reduction, faster and cheaper fabrication, and possible weight gains. However, drawbacks of welding include variation of properties in the weldment area, intrinsic metallurgical difficulties possibly leading to unacceptable defects, as well as, from a mechanical design point of view, possibly detrimental fatigue behaviour features associated with the continuous path of crack propagation. Crucial factors for the application of new technologies are the cost. Especially for the substitution of metals by light weight alloys beneath all technological properties of the economic aspects have to be considered.…
