Senator Marco Rubio has been called out by several people the past few days on the account of Rubio missing an abundance of votes, some being key votes on important issues. Rubio defends himself by stating that the presidential campaign is making difficult for him to be around as often as he should be. He said “I’m not missing votes because i’m on vacation.” Then brushed off the topic of him saying that federal workers who do not perform or do their job up to par should be fired, but what many want to know is if he can not do his job as senator and vote on bills and laws for the people, should he be fired too?

Who are you voting for? A presidential election is no small matter. It is the choosing of a leader, one who will be instilled with power that could improve or destroy a country. Dr. Ben Carson, a republican candidate, is respected and supported by many Americans. He became famous shortly after being the first man to successfully separate Siamese twins. Unfortunately, few people realize that if it were not for Carson’s boss, Dr. Donlin Long, he would likely never have achieved his current fame, and almost definitely would not be running for president. During the most crucial moment of the surgery, the cutting of the vein that connected the twins, Carson offered his scalpel to Long. He refused it. If the surgery was successful, Carson would be famous, if not, it could ruin the doctor’s career. Long knew the stakes, but had made up his mind earlier that it would be…

After coding all the candidates of the Republican National Debate, Governor Kasich stood out because his number of acclaims varied greatly from the number of times he attacked and defended himself during the debates. This is most likely due to the fact that his standing was last amongst all the candidates taking part in the debate. Because he held the lowest standing amongst all the candidates, many of the candidates did not bother to attack him so he did not need to defend himself as often as the others. He did not attack his opponents because his focus needed to be in bringing himself up in the ranks as opposed to just bringing the others down. According to Benoit's Functional Theory, this is because attacks can often times create an undesirable impression that the candidate is reactive rather than proactive (Glantz, 277, 2013).…

Many opinions have been thrown around lately on whether or not Senator Orrin Hatch should seek an eighth term in the Senate. As a Utah millennial, I would also like to voice my opinion. After 40 years in office, Senator Hatch has lost sight of his responsibility of a U.S. Senator: represent his constituents. Having held his position for longer than millennials have been alive, Senator Hatch is not prioritizing and representing the issues that are of greatest concern to the millennial generation -- Utah’s largest age demographic. It is time that we have a representative in the U.S. Senate who will represent our generation and our interests.…

According to a Cleveland news website the U.S. Census Bureau released information about uninsured rates in the U.S. the article states, “Nationally, the uninsured rate dropped 13.3 percent in 2013 to 10.4 percent last year (referring to 2014)” (source 1). Pros And Cons Of Obama

The president is more than unconstitutional, he is uncontrollable, too. President Obama is uncontrollable in his actions when illegal decisions are made more than once regarding Obamacare and when a large part of our government system is being questioned due to his disregard for the law. Obama went too far to get what he wanted. Checks and balances aren’t being taken seriously, if he can get away with it, so can everyone else. Obama unconstitutionally delayed the caps on payments without approval from Congress. He is uncontrollable and imperial because he shows with these examples that he thinks he can just go around Congress more than once regarding only one piece of legislation…

In some states however, although some jobs are unavailable, minimum wage has grown to a higher amount going all the way up to $10.55 in San Francisco. President Obama has proposed to raise the minimum wage earnings from $7.25 to $9 per hour. The general sense of someone working at minimum wage amounts are usually young, female workers, single, and missing a high school diploma. The difference of race however is not much of a difference including whites, hispanics, and or asians. 3.) Economic Impact The impact that this is making on Americans in somewhat good in a way. It’s positive in that the President is raising the minimum amount allowed to earn in minimum wage situations for those who struggle with money to pay to afford to live on their own. Having a job that only pays $7.25 per hour can be hard for a person surviving on their own to make because by the time they earn their paychecks, the money is already gone from having to pay bills, car payments, food expenses, etc.. Of course in the food and restaurant industry there are…

Congressional term limits is a very controversial subject today. Many people, including our president Donald Trump, think that we need to “flush out” or get rid of the people who have been in congress for a long time. With this ambition, multiple problems arise. People who have a job should not just be pulled out because they have been in there too long. That is not a good enough reason in any case. The people working in congress have worked and worked very hard to become part of this high position. Donald Trump should open his eyes and realize what these people are doing not just for him, but for our country. Without these people working in congress our country would not be able to function. Therefore, Donald Trump should not be trying to “flush out” congressmen, but thank them for their service.…
