Pros And Cons Of Running For President
I am a grade nine student from Chestermere Lake Middle School. As a Canadian citizen, I have some concerns about you running for president. Please don’t think of my worries in a rude way but as though I am telling you things that you should not do if you want to become president. I have confidence that if you dropped some of your nonsense announcements and followed the negative reviews others have of you, you could turn it into something positive and change your way of running for president. So take into consideration the opinions I have on your inaccurate decisions.

Senator Marco Rubio has been called out by several people the past few days on the account of Rubio missing an abundance of votes, some being key votes on important issues. Rubio defends himself by stating that the presidential campaign is making difficult for him to be around as often as he should be. He said “I’m not missing votes because i’m on vacation.” Then brushed off the topic of him saying that federal workers who do not perform or do their job up to par should be fired, but what many want to know is if he can not do his job as senator and vote on bills and laws for the people, should he be fired too?…

The first idea was to have Congress choose the President. This idea was rejected because many felt that it would disturb the balance of power that existed between the Executive and Legislative branches. It was also rejected due to the possible divisive fallout that would disable the branches to legislate effectively in the aftermath of a heated Presidential contest. Lastly, this idea was rejected as it could possibly give way to foreign intervention, corruption, and bribes. The next idea was to have state legislatures elect the President, but this was rejected on the idea that it would disregard federal authority which essentially was the glue that would keep the states together. The third idea was to elect the President by a direct popular…

I get that they didn't like President Obama but their lives were not miserable as they want me to believe. God was not banned and did not disappear, guns were not confiscated or even limited. (gun sales increased), no rights were taken away from anyone, in fact more people were rightfully given equality. The stock market hit record highs, unemployment dropped, construction increased as did home sales due to low interest rates. Our economy improved from the recession. Millions of Americans gained health insurance and insurance companies were required to cover everyone with preexisting conditions and lifetime caps were…

Term limits have been very controversial over the years. They have been both favored and opposed. Most people are in favor of term limits because incumbents are reelected for years and years. Very few people are opposed of term limits and most of those who are work for Congress. Some very interesting arguments in term limits favor have been the fact that these politicians are making careers out of their positions are not getting anything accomplished because they have no time limit. Experience can be both a positive and a negative to term limits. The positive being new ideas and fresh faces being in Congress. The negative would be that the more experienced legislators would be thrown out and would result in a loss of talent and waste of knowledge. More opposing theories would be that not only would term limits get rid of all the “bad apples” but it would also get rid of the better Congressmen as well. Most of Congress who oppose term limits fear that putting new people in office could wreck our government system.…

Donald J. Trump will be our president within a matter of time. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? In my opinion there are both pros and cons to his presidency. For instance, his plan to bring federal tax policies in line with the needs of today’s families is a pro. “His plan is not for the wealthy, but rather provides the biggest benefit to working- and middle-class families. “ (Contribute, 2016)…

Recently you won’t be seeing an American citizen care much about anything other than them selves. Their main priority is to ensure the perfection of their own lives. That is not being a good citizen though. Making sure your needs are met before you look up and see what you can help with is corrupt and selfish. We need to care more about how we can help our country and what we need to do to be a good citizen. Having clear goals, consistent ideals, and unity is what makes a country powerful; so when any of these components are lacking, a country and its citizens will weaken, which is happening in America. Being a citizen of America has become virtually insignificant to our people, and is now crippling us.…

The first group that I belong to is American citizens. Being an American citizen I have the freedom of choice. It permits me the liberty to decide what and who I want to be. I can obtain a high education and make a respectable living without any type of cultural oppression or judgment. I also have the right construct my own decisions without requiring permission from anyone but myself. Being an American citizen also has its cons, for example, the high education we are allowed to obtain does not come cheap. We have to pay highly for our education. Moreover, we also have to pay different types of taxes.…

Donald trumps travel ban has led many to believe that it wasn't the wisest choice to make. Prohibiting certain parts of the world to enter our "Free Country" based off of individual groups of extremists who happen to dwell in the same countries as innocent people hasn't been appealing to the US citizens ears. Protesters have taken stands in various parts of the US to voice their opinions, as it is their right to freedom of speech to show president Trump that they dont agree with him. Seeing these protesters has shown me that everyone has a voice, but today, society says otherwise. Regardless of the situation, your voice matters even if you have to get others to join you. Strength comes in numbers and if justice isn't present, it can definitely…

This is my fourth SONA; only two remain. Almost four years have passed since I was approached by various camps to urge me to run for the presidency. But just begin, and we will be one with you in nurturing change.”…
