The first Europeans set out to explore the Western Hemisphere were searching for alternate water routes to Asia in order to get goods such as: spices, silks, gold, porcelain, etc. Though many explorers did not reach this goal, their journeys led to the discovery of new land in the Americas. Once the New World was founded, explorers continued to venture out and find more land. Explorations brought new products to the New World to trade with Europe, but the Columbian exchange didn’t always have the best impact, like the way it negatively affected the Native American’s way of life.…

B. Exploration encouraged more trading and economic development for participating nations. The Triangular Trade was established which exchanged goods, such as sugar, tobacco, timber, and gold, and slaves between Africa, the Americas and Europe…
This drove some of them into insanity, starting wars and making decisions that they probably would not make under different conditions. Diseases weren’t the only thing the explorers brought with them; they brought Commodities like food and animals with them as well. Some of the foods the Europeans brought over were grapes and wheat, which we now grow here in America. The food the Europeans sailors took back helped change Europe’s population as well, more than doubling their populations between 1650 and 1850 with the help of the potato, sweet potato, corn, and maniaqua cassava. The Europeans also brought animals with them such as pigs, cows, and horses, lessening the stress of travel and food on the Native American…
Why did the Europeans exploration change? People have always set out to discover new lands and oceans. The greatest age in exploration of the world was in the beginning of the 15th century and lasted over four centuries. The Chinese and Arabs had already made big improvements in ship design and with navigation. Then the Europeans developed these further. The most common reason to explore the world was to trade. The Europeans wanted spices from Asia, ivory from Africa, and of course gold. The Europeans weren't just out to trade, they also wanted to try to convert local populations of the land that they have seized to the Christian faith.…
Thinking back to Ferdinand and Isabella’s choice to colonize the New World, I believe they made the right decision. Even though I now know the terrible consequences that their decision inflicted on the native people, my position remains that colonization was worth the cost. Columbus’ letter described the New World; Hispana like it was a place for the gods. Perhaps, in the eyes of Europeans it was a paradise. Europe was suffering from a lack of resources, polluted rivers, and overpopulated landscapes, which led to a major crisis.…
In Europe, the Columbian exchange brought about increased advancements in agricultural production, education and discoveries. The Europeans used these advancements to promote their countries and colonize those without, especially the Africans. The exchange helped American Indians by introducing new farming knowledge. The American Indians also benefited from the new and improved plants and animal species acquired from Europe. An increase relation among countries is the most important change that took place as a result of the Columbian exchange. This was after the people realized that they needed each other to…
Yes, the European exploration brought new good to be traded between Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas, it also brought deadly diseases. The diseases took a devastating affect on the natives of the new world (Document 5). Though it had some negative effects, it lead into the European Golden Age, also known as the Renaissance, which was a time for new things. New music, new art, new literature, it was the rebirth of Europe. During this time period, art began to be seen as a branch of knowledge. Leonardo Da Vinci was known as the Renaissance man, he took art to another level- from his famous Mona Lisa to his many projects on the human anatomy and structures of plants. All of which we can still see or hear…
Yes, there are cons to colonization but, the pros outweigh the cons. According to the Friars Semen, we treat the Natives like they are not human beings. We aren’t treating them horribly, we feed them, give them breaks during work and all the rights of a normal human being. We acknowledge their position as a human exerting these rules to show we care. Another complaint we here about our actions, according to the Friars Semen, enslaving the Natives or any human being is morally wrong.…

These voyages are the original paths of the explorers who charted the Americas and have become the backbone for trade and colonization.…

Although Europe had much more power compared to the Native Americans they ran across within the New World, they still were interested in the exchange of idea and cultures. As for the Native American’s eyes, the Europeans seemed to have everything, and as time when on the Native also benefited from the exchange by developing a written language so it would be easier to establish relationships between the two groups, new forms of farming, and weapon capability. The Native Americans developing a written language, with help of the Europeans, caused their intellectual level to grow. The native Cherokee Language then allowed ideas to be transferred. As for farming, the plow, allowed Europeans to cultivate larger areas of land creating a surplus of plantation for the Natives and the Europeans. The plow was pulled by the horses brought to the New World, helping cut the work time. Another thing completely new to the Natives was guns. Guns helped the Native go hunting for bigger animals, and the Natives were happy to be able to chase bigger herds and kill animals in less than half the time. Although these technological advancements didn’t cross the Atlantic Ocean, it shows how much people began to interact and share ideas with one…
