There are many different ways to declaw a cat, some better than others. The guillotine method is strongly disapproved by most veterinarians. It involves a sterilized nail clipper to disjoint the bones are pull out the claw. Another method is laser surgery. A CO2 laser gets a better cut to severe the joints. The third way to declaw a cat is the blade method. A sterilized scalpel is used to cut out the claws. All three methods get the job done, though the way veterinarians do it is sometimes unknown by cat owners. Some people strongly disagree with declawing. The dissection went very well. I could definitely see the difference between an open circulatory system and a closed one. Even though it was also mushy inside, it was, in a way, more organized. Instantly, I noticed that finding the different organs and parts of the Perch was substantially easier than finding organs in past dissections. The video did not dissect the head of the perch so there were a couple of things that I couldn’t see: where the tongue was attached, the teeth, or parts of the brain (the medulla oblongata). I couldn’t feel the fins to tell what kind they were, but going by the video; the anterior dorsal fins, looked like rays; and the posterior dorsal, anal, pelvic, and caudal fins,…

Cats are a bit messy. They like to sleep everywhere, and leave their hair of the couch cushions, curtains, comforter, and your clothes. They walk on your ledges, and if you have picture frames, candles, or any type of décor, they will knock it over. It’s just a given, you’ll come home to your things on the floor. It seems like every time you’re walking, or in the kitchen, they are right there by your feet, weaving too and fro as you are trying to get from one place to the other. It’s almost like they are trying to kill you. They have no respect for your personal space. If you’re sitting on one end of the couch, taking up only one cushion, they will feel obliged to jump up on your lap and stay there till you have to move. If you do move, and come back, good luck getting back on their good side, because they want nothing to do with you. They have a lot of diva in them. One minute they want every little bit of your attention, and the next they want nothing to do with you and will hiss if…
