Proposal
Proposal for Reconstruction of Private Landing

To: All Camp Owners at Old River Landing

The purpose of this proposal is to address the condition of our private landing and propose a reconstruction solution. Every camp owner will benefit from this as our current landing is in dire need of repairs. The constant rise and fall of the Mississippi River over the past few years has played havoc on the parking area and if not addressed will only get worse. I am concerned with the progressing deterioration of the landing. If we choose to do nothing, it will not be long before we will be launching our boats at the public landing down the street. I have prepared a proposal including a detailed list of what we can expect to pay and if the majority can agree, I can have this project completed just in time for when school lets out in May.

CURRENT SITUATION

The private landing is in need of a total rebuild. The parking area has very little gravel and the parameters have been neglected and are overgrown. The lot is full of ruts and deep holes and there is only enough parking for 8-10 truck and trailers. The boat launch is functional but narrow and has steep, broken sides. We have no pier with boat ties so there is no other option except to trailer our boat after each expedition. The current lighting consist of one security light which is broken making it difficult and unsafe loading after dark. If we choose to ignore the situation and nothing is done about this neglect, the condition of the landing will only progressively get worse. The following chart shows a comparison between what we have now and what we will have if plan is implemented.

PROJECT PLAN

I would like to have the boat launch widened and re-poured with sides having smaller angles for safety. Installing a pier will allow for boat parking and loading and unloading our boats easier. It will also provide a place for fishing and swimming for our kids. I would also like to see some picnic

This Change Request would fund the labor, travel, and KISS user days for a factory technician from Rubb Building Systems to assist with the on-site construction of the Summit Mobile Garage as a quality assurance measure to facilitate timely and proper assembly of the structure. Specifically, upon arrival at Summit Station the Rubb technician will assess the status of the erection, which will already be in-progress, and work with the CPS Foreman in addressing questions or clarifications, identifying potential solutions to current or anticipated issues. Additional services will include expert interpretation of the Rubb construction documents, proposing of experienced-informed construction methods, assembly instructions for crew members as required, status documentation assistance, and hands-on execution of construction efforts integral with the CPS team. CPS has identified three main advantages for sending this technical expert to Summit: 1) ensuring an efficient construction process that will save time and labor, and will reduce risks associated with a prolonged construction phase, 2) assurance the structure has been constructed properly, resolving onsite issues and verifying there are no manufacturing defects, and 3) guaranteeing the warranty remains valid. Overall, the Rubb technician will provide on-site instruction, guidance, building-specific tools aiding the construction, and otherwise perform construction efforts along-side the CPS construction crew. The SIP base and tent for this structure were procured in Yr4 (CR 04-F011) and this work will be funded under a separate Yr5 subcontract to the manufacturer.…

A boardwalk signifies relaxation and entertainment. What better place to build a fabulous boardwalk entertainment village than in the tourist capital of America beautiful Las Vegas, NV, to be more specific, Lake Las Vegas. This is a lush lakeside retreat located only 15 minutes east of the famous “Las Vegas Strip.” It is surrounded by natural red rocks and borders the Lake Mead Recreational Park. Several other hotels have already graced this manmade lake along with two award winning golf courses, and gourmet restaurants and exquisite shopping. Currently, there are two lakeside parcels remaining with great frontage and access to the shops and golf as well as many aquatic activities including sailing, fishing, canoeing, and small boating. Development of the structure would be made through a partnership with Lake Las Vegas LTD, the chief land owner within this region. We feel that with a strategic partnership with the land owner, in the form of a land lease, our overall build-out costs would be drastically reduced and would yield pleasant tax incentives for this form of business structuring.…

Will Bury, an enterprising inventor, is convinced that soon everyone will be reading or listening to everything digitally, including books that have been mostly available in hard copy. He knows that there are books on CD, but these are relatively expensive and have been recorded using human readers. He also knows that there is technology that can transform the printed word into audio, but the sound is somewhat inhuman. Will plans on speeding up the transformation with a proprietary technology he has developed and patented. This technology takes the printed word for text materials and creates a file with the option of reading it digitally or listening to it with a realistic synthetic voice. Will knows that he has free access to books no longer under copyright protection, and he figures he can pay a royalty fee of $5 per title for copyrighted books that will greatly expand his catalog. So far, he has limited himself to English-language books but is working on a language translation option as well.…

The decisions to expand the facility and implement cleanup efforts around the community may be a lengthy process but the affects will benefit the company in the long-run as well as strengthen ties within the community. I suggest an area wide cleanup effort to start immediately, which will build morale, loyalty, and commitment to the community and invite tourists, families, and businesses back into the area. Because of circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters and terrorism, foundation and building improvements are a necessary. The company cannot influence or predict the disaster threats present, but we can improve conditions for a better chance of survival during such threats. Restructuring of the building will strengthen the facility and incorporate a safe structure during disasters, and supply adequate shelter for citizens of the area. We must also consider implementing a safe and secure evacuation plan and improve security for employees and the citizens of Kava when disasters of all types are imminent.…
