Planned Date – 22nd June 2013

Actual Date – 22nd June 2013

Notes on schedule issues - Was critical there was no delays in scheduling/planning for the start date to finish date as would be critical with stakeholders business and customers.

Brainstorming

The morning of the 22nd of June 2013 we all had a group meeting with Stakeholders/shareholder of the project team before work commenced on the planned project we put a white board up and marked all challenges that would confront different stakeholders on this project. From there we clearly defined the problem that would arise on site, which would there have to resolve. I made it clear that the meetings objective is to generate as many ideas as possible and gave the people plenty of quite time at the start of the session to write down as many ideas of the own as they can and then asked them to share the ideas as a group and whilst they shared there ideas it gave everyone in the meeting a fair opportunity to contribute.

Once everyone has shared their ideas, I started a group discussion to develop other people’s ideas, and used them to create new ideas. Building on other people’s ideas is one of the most valuable aspects of group brainstorming. Encourage everyone to contribute and to develop ideas, including the quietest people, and discourage anyone from criticizing ideas. I also tried to share some of my Ideas with the group but tried to minimize my input into the session and put more of my time and energy into supporting the stakeholders ideas.

One lesson learned from the brainstorming session held with stakeholders was trying not to follow one train of thought for to long and making sure I would generate a good number of different ideas, and explore individual ideas in detail. If a team member needs to “tune out” and explore an idea alone allow

Through this group assignment, I really learned much. First, I realize that I should learn more about finance and accounting .when talking about the last part in presentation during discussion, I cannot participate in the debate, and even do not know what they said when comes some proper nouns. Although my major is logistics, it is good for me to learn more about other subject knowledge such as finance and management. Second is although we had discussion many times, we were inefficient and wasted much time. We supposed to have a target or task for each discussion, and leader need to coordinate the meeting. In addition, democracy does not work every time in small group, everyone has a different idea and wants to persuade others, which is the reason that a good leader is very important for a team, so that I should start to train leadership skills. Third is that unity and cooperation are essential to a good team. Team members need to work for…

During the P0 challenge everyone’s ideas for the project were heard. We did this through the normal brainstorming method. We all read the instructions, then everyone shared their ideas for how we should complete the prototype. We quickly started to realize that everyone had a similar vision on the basics of the car. However, we all had different ideas for the materials and how to assemble the car. In order for everyone’s ideas and opinions to be heard, we each took time explaining to the group what materials we wanted to use and why. This was an effective method, because no one in our group believed there idea was best. Everyone was willing to hear each other’s ideas and not force their own on the group. After everyone spoke, we all took time…

For someone who is hesitant to share his or her opinion or idea, leaders should encourage their participation by offering some their own opinions and ideas on the matter and asking a question or two regarding his or her thoughts. Through back and forth dialogue, slowly the leader would obtain the individuals ideas and opinions on the project. By obtaining everyone on the teams thoughts, a well-informed final decision can be made on how to proceed. By doing this, the reluctant team member will believe that they have contributed to the project.…
